On episode 3. This is better than another similar show that has its second season that is raved about on here

What other show are you referring to?

Likely Severance

I'm assuming Silo, but I wouldn't say that season two was raved about

If someone does think this is better than Severance than that is certainly an opinion

Finally caught up. This show is awesome.

Love the music choices, and even the renditions used. And I loved the Die Hard reference in the last episode.

Fun show so far. Hope the last 2 episodes keep it up.

Fully agree. Really good show. Wasn't sure quite what to expect going in, but both my wife and I were hooked after the first episode.

My only concern is what they use for the catastrophe, as the setup for it seemed a bit flimsy. Writing overall has been great so far though.

It's not perfect, but so far I'm liking it. Quite the backstory they developed for Billy Pace.

Too bad they killed him off right after making him one of the most interesting characters. Driscoll is quite the little *****.

I agree with the music choices. Had to go listen to several of them again.

The composer of the theme music also did Only Murders in the Building, which I also can't get out of my head once I've heard it once or twice.

Probably the closest I've ever come to liking Starship's "We Built This City" with the multiple renditions, but it didn't quite get there for me. On the nose though as far as having built that city.

I enjoy a lot of things about this show but nothing about the underground city makes sense to me.

  • They have electricity and water...where does all that come from? Wouldn't you want your water to go through a treatment plant?
  • How is air delivered and conditioned in that enclosed space? Buildings need fresh air and an underground bunker would be no different, especially if they have a fear of contamination outside.
  • On the subject of air...where the hell is all this exhaust going from the vehicles? Wouldn't the entire city eventually succumb to carbon monoxide poisoning?
  • How is reproduction addressed? It's not like they can expand to accommodate more bodies.
  • Is everything free or on a barter or rationing system?
  • Phone usage? WTF? You're in a cave/mountain. How is this service being provided?

The only one I can answer is your vehicle exhaust, all those vehicles were Eletric. The SUV's were Rivan R1S's, I recognize them because we have one. And the trucks are the Ford 150 Lightening

I'll play.

  • They have electricity and water...where does all that come from? Wouldn't you want your water to go through a treatment plant? Last week's episode showed the SS team gearing up in an area beyond the mountains that wraps around the city. There is probably a water treatment plant in this space as well.
  • How is air delivered and conditioned in that enclosed space? Buildings need fresh air and an underground bunker would be no different, especially if they have a fear of contamination outside. See above. They probably have a filtration and circulation systems for the air.
  • On the subject of air...where the hell is all this exhaust going from the vehicles? Wouldn't the entire city eventually succumb to carbon monoxide poisoning? All the vehicles I've seen have been electric. I noticed this in the first episode where X met Jane on the driveway while running.
  • How is reproduction addressed? It's not like they can expand to accommodate more bodies. When all else fails, bone your therapist.
  • Is everything free or on a barter or rationing system? Monopoly money.
  • Phone usage? WTF? You're in a cave/mountain. How is this service being provided? Self-contained phone network in the cave.

Yeah I've had lots of questions as well, but noticed all of the vehicles are electric

Part of me hoped they never really delved into the actual catastrophe because I could see it being underwhelming or dumb or just too on the nose. I was very wrong. That was well done. Marsden and Brown have been amazing in this show.

I really like it so far, but why did he describe Syria being in Southwest Asia, on the eastern shore of the Mediterrainian sea.

I guess it is referred to as Southwest Asia but this is the first time I've heard anyone refer to the Middle East as that before. Is Middle East only used in America?

I'm in the military and I've heard the Middle East or "the desert" called Southwest Asia plenty.

This show was created by the same dude who created This is Us. Sterling K Brown was on that show as well and won an Emmy for it. The music on it was spot on as well.

This show is fantastic. Simply great.

Incredible episode. I agree it was almost cinematic.

At first I didn't realize what a close circle the "Versailles List" was. Imagine walking out of the Oval Office and everyone trying to get on Marine One with the president. Absolute madness.

Do y'all think he did the right thing with the live, unscripted news conference?

So thoughts on....

... who murdered the president? Sinatra said someone from the outside. I racked my brain trying to think of a way someone from the outside could get in. They'd have to have help from the inside. I figured the USSS agent who was girlfriend with Billy killed the president.

And who would want him dead? Well, several of those aides they left may want him dead. But I'm thinking Sinatra wanted him dead and figured out a way to make it happen.
