Pretty good article from a decade ago, penned by a guy about his date with Natalie Imbruglia.scd88 said:BadMoonRisin said:
I forgot what a dime Natalie Imbruglia was (and still is!)
Left in 2005 and the right one from 2023. Beautiful.

Good read. I'm jealous of that guy. lol.

Anyone who graduated in '98 either has fond memories or PTSD from Good Riddance by Green Day. That song came out in the fall of '97 and was everywhere through graduation. I liked Green Day but was pretty indifferent to that song, but as an adult that song takes me back more than any others do. I've come to appreciate it because it's not something I hear very often but when I do I think of high school.

Green Day- Good Riddance. It was played at EVERY major event my senior year. I guess it really made an impression on me because I instantly feel like a senior in high school when I hear. It. It's actually very moving for me because of that.
This was my HS football teams theme song my freshman and sophomore years lol.JWinTX said:

That song came out my freshman year at A&M. If you walked by any freshman's dorm and there was a song playing, there was a pretty good chance that was the song you heard.DargelSkout said:

Yep, she's gorgeous. Not to derail (I am sure "Walk like an Egyptian" brings back HS memories for some on here), but can we also get a "hellya" for Susanna Hoffs? I was maybe 5 or 6 when I saw her beautiful face for the first time in that music video. As a kid I wanted to marry her. And she has aged phenomenally.scd88 said:BadMoonRisin said:

Yep, that was a big one. Never did like it. Such a plodding, depressing, miserable sounding thing.Bruce Almighty said:That song came out my freshman year at A&M. This is a hard one for me, because I still listen regularly to songs from my high school days.
But if I had to pick one, I would have to say "More than a Feeling" by Boston. Roll down the windows, crank up the stereo, drive fast ... freedom!
Yep, hated that song, still don't like it, but it brings back fond memories from HS, so I don't hate it anymore.double aught said:Yep, that was a big one. Never did like it. Went to HS in the mid to late 90's, but drove a 69 Firebird and can relate to this. That song is a masterpiece, but that is the ideal way to listen to it.EclipseAg said:

I graduated in 97 and drove a 68 Camaro my senior year. Had a Pioneer 8 track player in it and 100's of my parents tapes.

I desperately wanted a 1st gen Camaro in HS. Bought a 3rd gen given my limited funds. From there an obsession for Camaro and other fast cars took off!
Pretty sure that line would have killed me.double aught said:"Natalie thinks you're so cute."maroon barchetta said:Yeah. That is a good day.scd88 said:
