I had Alexa shuffling through songs and "God of wine" by Third Eye Blind came on, and I got an instant image of 14 year old me with bleached frosted tips, Tommy Hilfiger polo and doc marten sandals in my mind's eye
Dang. What was being rich like?

With a braided belt alternating through the entire waistband of belt loops...

Not sure if these tunes were released before I graduated hs in May '84, but I know they were on heavy radio rotation in Fall '84... remember hearing them playing a lot out of open dorm windows... dorms w/ no A/C that is.

This is a hard one for me, because I still listen regularly to songs from my high school days.

But if I had to pick one, I would have to say "More than a Feeling" by Boston. Roll down the windows, crank up the stereo, drive fast ... freedom!
Went to HS in the mid to late 90's, but drove a 69 Firebird and can relate to this. That song is a masterpiece, but that is the ideal way to listen to it.

I graduated in 97 and drove a 68 Camaro my senior year. Had a Pioneer 8 track player in it and 100's of my parents tapes.

You two guys had some sweet rides.
I was gonna say ... holy cow.

I had a '76 Mustang II but it got flooded one afternoon parked in front of our house and was never the same after that. Those cars were already rust buckets even without a flood.

Huge Nada Surf fan. The Proximity Effect might be one of my favorite albums of all time. Top 10 for sure.

Windows down, in the dark, smoking Camel Reds, blasting that album on a road to nowhere.

I was a big fan of 50's and 60's even though I graduated in '87. But 'More than a feeling' or pretty much any other Boston song takes me back...
