I'm two episodes in -- really enjoying it so far.

I'm really enjoying this one, half way done. But Carl's a-hole humor is my favorite part of the entire show. Great character for Goode. I also love the scenes with Kelly Macdonald I've always had a thing for her ever since Boardwalk Empire but she and Carl have a funny rapport

Preview makes this look like another flavor of Slow Horses which I'm not opposed to....
100% agree. Still have a couple episodes left to watch but the Akram Universe needs to be explored!

So that probably depends on if you can understand those kinds of accents
There have been a few instances where I needed the subtitles to understand what was said, but the majority of the show has been easy enough to follow...especially the critical components.PlanoAg98 said:

the Scottish accents re a lot harder for me to follow. And Scottish slang is a challenge.

We finished it up last night. Loved the resolution and the ending. I hope this gets another season. It's certainly set up for one.

So Moira was vehement about Carl not investigating his own shooting. So why did she give the case to Hardy? Maybe Carl is somehow unknowingly involved?

I think it has more to do with Carl's personality, him being very unpredictable and unable to work with the team already working on the case. Hardy is obviously much more of a team player.Jawn Dough said:

Great show! Give me 10 more seasons of this. The characters are fantastic, well acted, and the personalities are fun to watch together. The story was also very good, and had very good pacing.
Fun fact: Looks like this is an adaptation of a Danish novel series called Department Q. The first season of the show follows the first book, The Keeper of the Lost Causes. Which was also made into a Danish movie. There are 10 books in the series with Danish film adaptations of the first 6.

I watched the first episode last night and really liked it. Has anyone read the book? I am trying to decide if I should start reading the book before finishing the season.
Great series. One of my favorites in Netflix in a while. Highly recommend it. Hope they make a season 2.

They spent quite a bit of time on Fincher, even intimidating him at the Country Club towards the end.
Was that just a bad lead, that ended up having nothing to do with Merrit?
If not, what was the connection I missed?
If so, why did they sent a henchman to intimidate Carl and his boy?
I feel like I missed something about that part of the story.
