I rank it as one of the three worst movies I have ever put perfectly good money down to see in a theater (along with Batman & Robin and Jaws: The Revenge)

I liked it, but I guess I'm easy to please, and a sucker for DC Comics. I'm the wrong DC-era for a lot of this and don't really know much about some of the other characters. And I DO NOT like the Guy Gardener GL. But I thought it was a fun movie and worth watching.

Loved the dog.

Also, is there a way to get the Easter eggs without watching that hour-and-a-half video on page 2?

When I was a kid, Kara Zor-el was born in Kandor, a Kryptonian city that had been shrunken by Brainiac, placed in a bottle, and taken away from Krypton. She was sent to Earth years after the destruction of Krypton.

Not sure what the current origin story is.

Right, but why would they discuss a theoretical plan regarding Earth with her?
They created the message to send him on a ship as their planet is destroyed.

she was born after his parents died. She never knew them. Unless her origin story has changed where and when she was born in recent years, which I admit is certainly possible with all the ret-conning that happens in the comics.

Thanks for the history lessons. Like Rex said, with all the retconning (especially between when I was a kid a loooong time ago and now) it's hard to remember what the latest story is.

Yeah, I haven't cracked open a comic book since the early '90s when I was in college. I am aware of Crisis on Infinite Earths (have all the issues) and Infinite Crisis, but any changes since then, I'm lost on.
