I could. I could spend the next hour linking videos of many others both left and right of center lamenting how disgusted they have been by all the people in their lives who they would have never thought could be so disgusting about someone they don't know.
I could do all that work... but will it convince you? I doubt it. We all read that quote from Charlie. One side sees it as a call to violence and the other sees it as a call for holding power accountable for their actions. Why don't you tell me: If we both read that and see COMPLTELY opposite messages, are we going to agree on defining the "far left" and the "general left".
You are not interested in a good faith argument, so I will not waste the next couple hours of my day giving you examples.

Really rich you saying that "mainstream left' is celebrating this yet claim I'm the one in bad faith.
I'm not asking for yahoo's on social media. Find me a prominent person of the left of consequence that has celebrated this.

I made the claim of the right, in general. Are there crazy far right-wing nutjobs? Yes. You could have pulled up one of those fringe people.
But no, you pull up a Charlie Kirk quote. And one that the vast majority of moderate Americans would not view as a call to violence against the left for view points. Tell me, what little voice in your head told you that the best way to have a good faith conversation with a differing view point is to try and throw more fuel into the fire? Why specifically point out a Charlie Kirk quote.
I'm pretty sure I know the answer.
The celebrations we are seeing from the left are coming from the mainstream left. That is the crux of why we are ****ed as a nation. It has nothing to do with the moderate Christian worldview that has existed in this country, and was the foundation of this country, for nearly 250 years.
But sure, you go ahead and spin this all to show the left is the side of peace, understanding, and acceptance.
please show me "mainstream left" that are celebrating his death.

If you choose to view [Anger's] results and the mischief that it does, no plague has cost the human race more dear: you will see slaughterings and poisonings, accusations and counter-accusations, sacking of cities, ruin of whole peoples, the persons of princes sold into slavery by auction, torches applied to roofs, and fires not merely confined within city-walls but making whole tracts of country glow with hostile flame.

OK, now we're getting somewhere. Olbermann is a tool of the highest order and pretty much a shock jock at this point in his career, if he even has one. I couldn't even tell you what he does for a living other than throw out crap on social media. I think he's a loser.
Macarthur said:
this is 1000% bad faith argument. You and I can exchange posts for weeks straight of one side saying something outrageous on social media. That is a fools errand. You used the term 'mainsream left' not me. Show me 'mainstream left'....idiots on social media don't count. I need something of consequence.

Great. So now we are going to argue about "prominent" figure of the left.
This is Lathspell's point, entirely.

I already explained what I meant in my post. Just like I said you would, you read it, changed what it meant in your head, and argued back in bad faith. I even called you out for changing the qualifications, which you did not respond to.
I even qualified what I mean when I said "social media". I didn't say random nuts who i've never heard of. I literally said people iv'e known my entire life. This is the exact same thing I'm hearing from others on both the left and right. But, as I said, it won't be good enough for you. You will just gaslight by ignoring me, as you have, and claim I'm talking about some mythical "social media" where there are only 4 left wing lunatics in the world who are apparently celebrating Charlie's death. If I argue with that, then i'm sure you'll change your argument to one of actual total numbers, so then I am going to have to stop what I'm doing and go start counting.
You are brainwashed.
Don't worry, it's what your side does all the time. We are used to it, we have just lost our patience for it. We don't just shake our heads anymore, softly whisper, "bless his heart..." to ourselves and move on. Why don't we do this anymore? Because your side has decided violence is the best solution for those of us with basic Christian beliefs.

I admitted Olbermann is a tool and should be shunned. There's not much need to split hairs over just how big of a voice he is. I would put him in that same category of Fuentes.

ROFL... holy crap... you cannot make this up.
Yet another example of why coexisting with some people is so hard. Olbermann is LITERALLY an example of legacy and mainstream media. He is in no way a fringe actor in the way Fuentes is. I already rejected Destiny as an example, because I definitely view him as equally fringe. But Olbermann? Just because he's an idiot, doesn't mean you get to explain him away as fringe.

Destiny has ~700K subs. Fuentes has 77K.
The two aren't close.

I just looked at their X and they both have 900k followers. That was my basis for that. Are you talking about podcast subscriptions?

I think you are also missing my point. I NEVER equated "mainstream" with "prominent voices". That was the other poster gaslighting or trying to move the goal posts on the argument.
My ENTIRE point was the scary thing about all of this is the amount of this disgusting rhetoric coming from so many "normal" lefties. The people I deal with during my daily life. I'm not worried about Olbermann going postal with a rifle. Are you telling me that, when I see registered nurses on various platforms celebrating the death of a husband and father because he held Christian beliefs, I shouldn't be concerned about being treated in the hospital by someone like that? God forbid she walks into the room while I'm talking to a family member about current events.
I consider "mainstream" to be synonymous with "a large sampling size" of a group. I'm also not trying to make a statistical statement by saying X% need to support a certain idea for it to be in the mainstream, therefore I will tally up the exact number of every person in the world on the left and then divide by the exact quantity of posts on social media to equate to exactly 50% or higher. I'll admit this is all anecdotal, but it's anecdotal from EVERYONE i've heard talk about this on both the left and the right.
But, alas. We are back to the point that the left will never concede this point, no matter how much evidence I were to provided.
