Great example.

A reformed version of the band released another album in 2015, but that's so much later I probably wouldn't count it.

Yep, when in Rome checks out. Only one album, only one big hit!

Some people aren't checking discographies before posting.

Sex Pistols are hardly a one hit wonder, but more of a one album wonder. They had several songs off of the Never Mind the Bollocks album that were popular. The band imploded during their US tour and that's all that we got from them.

That's actually a good album. I listened to the cassette driving from College Station to Atlanta on repeat for hours one summer!

62Strat... Superunknown... You sound like me people. Are we all old?

Blind Melon, but didn't the singer die?

Did presidents of the USA have another album?

not old.. just aged more than others!

Bm had two albums with Shannon, and POTUSA had several (plus lump and peaches both big hits.)

I think that's what Bruce is saying.. Layla was the 'hit', but is it a one hit wonder if bell bottom blues was a minor hit as well?

Sturgill Simpson does a good cover of this.

Weird experience the first time I heard it because I didn't recognize it was a cover of this at first (and it took until the chorus until it finally clicked what song it was). But after about 2 lines, I clearly knew the words. I was very baffled for about 20 seconds as to how I knew every word to a song I'd never heard before.

Exactly JCA1! Your shroom game is naturally strong I suppose.

Jeff Buckley - tragic reason for that - several singles but really only one hit with Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah and it was 10 years after he died.

Blind Faith- now I would never call them a one hit wonder but technically only one single from their only album charted "Well All Right" / "Can't Find My Way Home" although I think all 6 tracks are brilliant. Clapton left before they even really did anything (a few shows) because it was too much like Cream.

Lauryn Hill - again maybe not a one hit wonder as more than one charted but only "Doo Wop (That Thing)" was a HIT. #1 album sold 10 million copies and then she just disappeared and never made another album.

He had other songs he wrote sung by others, but as a singer, Alan O'Day's Undercover Angel is literally a one hit wonder. It hit #1.

I know they have other songs but Lunatic Fringe by Red Rider is a one hit wonder in my mind.

Love the Zombies but they recorded 2 studio albums before they disbanded in 1967 although one was released after that occurred. Then they were lured back together and recorded another album not released until 2000. And then even later they recorded a few more.

I thought for sure Lo-pro would make the list with Sunday, but they released another album seven years after the first that I missed.
