Although they had Too Many Ways To Fall in addition to Living In A Dream.
If Austin had a supergroup, it was Arc Angels

Were The Zombies mentioned in jest? They've had multiple big hits.

to be honest I thought your OP meant one banger type album with a one hit and then nothing else of note. It's almost impossible that a band, unless they dissolved, had just a single album release.62strat said:Ragoo said:62strat said:Ragoo said:

but everyone should know what I'm asking, as it's quite simple.

9 albums but Song 2 on their 5th and self titled album is the only song anyone knows.

Most 'one hit wonders' surely go on to chase that next hit, so this 1 album 1 hit is surely pretty elusive.

The whole point of the thread was bands/musicians that only made one album, and that album produced one hit.

Everyone one hit wonder is only going to be known for one album. Otherwise, they wouldn't be a one hit wonder.

Where did I say that a band dissolving doesn't count? That is likely the ONLY reason why a band makes this list.

It is almost impossible, which is why out of 4 pages and maybe 5 dozen suggestions, I think we're only on maybe a dozen or so that fit the criteria.. so that's what I'm asking texags to dig in to try and find. There are probably several one hit wonder threads, and that is nothing new, but this one is decidedly different.
How big a hit, and how many hits is always debatable, but to even be in the discussion there needs to be just ONE album, which is pretty cut and dry, and was lost on many posters.
4 non blondes, new radicals and the La's, the 3 that I started the thread with.
Other suggestions that can be in the discussion since they only have ONE album
david and david
when in rome
sly fox
OMC
Arc Angels
derek and the dominos
Jeff buckley
blind faith
Lauryn Hill
Mad Season/Temple of the dog
The postal service
Sons of Sylvia
I have never heard of several of these, or the songs mentioned, but at least they only have one album.
