I get one every 5 years due to cancer history in the family. Easy Peasy. Do it at least for the Propofol, it really is a nice trip in and out with no hangover. Actually, you wake feeling like you just had the best 10 hour nap of your life.

Yeah. Last time I was talking to the nurse anesthesia person and started to fade and said "you administered the Propofol didn't you" and then I was out.

2 seconds later my wife is sitting by me in the recovery room. I said "what are you doing here? They haven't done anything yet!"

She said "you've been out for 30 minutes"

Just adding input. I had some symptoms at 44 and getting a colonoscopy was one of my biggest fears but I did it anyway. Like most things, it wasn't even 10% as bad as I thought it would be, and all turned out perfect and now I dont have to go back in for 10 years. I believe insurance usually starts to cover them at age 45, so yeah totally recommend getting it done and dont psych yourself out. It is not that bad.

It's better than nothing. It not only detects blood but DNA from precancerous polyps. But there can be false negative and false positive results. So I wouldn't rely on it, myself. Particularly since I have had about 30 polyps removed over the last 6 years.

I have Lynch Syndrome, and have had one of the cancers associated with it, but not colon cancer. It's recommended that I get one yearly. I do not look forward to it. I prefer the yearly bladder scope looking for cancer there...not that I enjoy that either, but it's much easier. No prep.

Never understood the hullabaloo about colonoscopies. I've had it done twice - once to determine why I was getting periodic bloating and the other was just routine. I didn't find it to be that big of a deal. If nothing else, I welcome the chance to really clean things out of your system. Thankfully, I'm on the 10-year plan as neither time showed any polyps.

Get it done. It's far better to spend a day drinking liquids and pooping than to die of something that is very preventable and treatable if caught early enough.

Just saw Roger Avary was on Rogan again but before Van Der Beek died. Would have been fun to hear some JVDB stories.

Apart from the Rules of Attraction and Varsity Blues, I was a big fan of the Power/Rangers short Joseph Kahn did back in 2014. I was producing a horror movie with the 1st AD from that project and an hour before the short dropped he took a few of the production people aside and showed us a private link he had. Then he said the internet is going to go crazy in about 45 minutes. Josh the AD makes his cameo as a bum getting scanned at the 1:15 mark.
