A half truth is still a lie. Make no mistake, Putin knows the buttons to push.
Putin is a bit player. Pushing to make this about judgment as to his morality/righteousness is shallow and lacks any depth at all. It's akin to cheerleading the (present, or any other) war from a keyboard based on youtube videos/tweets.

Oh shocking that the OP loves Putin and thinks he's some kind of defender of morality and goodness.

Totalitarians gotta stick together.

You hate billboard Chris too? You hate Putin so much you can't say he's right about the evils of the sexualization of children and the gender craziness sweeping the west?

Totally unrelated to his true motive.

No but it was clear that what Ukraine was doing by flirting with NATO was going to cause issues with Russia. Russia has been very clear on that for many years. It was agreed upon.

Ukraine did a great job of luring corrupt US politicians into bed so that they could be called upon at a later date. That day came and our political leaders answered the bell. If we go to WW3 it's squarely on the shoulders of this piece of **** president and those like him.

Don't poke the bear. eventually they'll attack. When they attack you still put the bear down, but it's also the fault of the poker.

A country wanting to live freely however they see fit. The audacity.

As for the bear, it's a thing of beauty seeing is very humiliated and beaten like the 3rd world sh*ethole he is.

An empire so great it can't even roll through some fields of wheat to conquer a neighbor it surrounded on three sides.

Someone wake me up when they actually pose a threat to this hemisphere

Yep.

Sovereign countries should never pursue policies that they perceive as in their best interest.

They should never look at their own history and remember the terror and oppression that Russia subjected Ukraine to for 70 years and come to the rather rational conclusion that they should pursue policies that would secure their independence from their former occupiers.

They should simply aspire to their rightful status of vassal.

That is absolutely incorrect and immoral.

I watched the video and it is clear who the audience is - other conservatives from around the world. It would seem that one way to halt the shipment of ammunition, tanks, and F-16s is to have those countries stop shipping them all together on their own.

I didn't say that they shouldn't pursue their interests. Ukraine played their part well. They lured our govt officials into bed so that they had the support they needed when Russia came.

Lets be honest America and the West are horribly divided. If I am China, Iran, and Russia I'm going to grab a crowbar and start prying on the cracks. They view it as a cold war and we are vulnerable.

Exactly. So, why deliver a Tucker Carlson speech?
We may have different ideas of what constitutes a "Tucker Carlson" speech. Putin acts like he is on the side of Traditional America. And, yes your point regarding the MSM and the DemoRats using this as an excuse to link the right with Russia is a legit concern.

As was said up thread you can agree with Putin's "words" in this one speech and KNOW, in the long game, he is playing US. He is no friend of any group within the US. He wants us broken. He shares that goal with the demoRat leftest in this country.

Its a three or four sided conflict. Welcome to the new age.
I read an article, "A Guide to Understanding the Hoax of the Century", which I highly recommend and will post as a separate thread, and this quote struck me...
Quote:

In an article from August 2016, "How Russia Dominates Your Twitter Feed to Promote Lies (And, Trump, Too)," Watts and his co-author, Andrew Weisburd, described how Russia had revived its Cold War-era "Active Measures" campaign, using propaganda and disinformation to influence foreign audiences. As a result, according to the article, Trump voters and Russian propagandists were promoting the same stories on social media that were intended to make America look weak and incompetent. The authors made the extraordinary claim that the "melding of Russian-friendly accounts and Trumpkins has been going on for some time." If that was true, it meant that anyone expressing support for Donald Trump might be an agent of the Russian government, whether or not the person intended to play that role. It meant that the people they called "Trumpkins," who made up half the country, were attacking America from within. It meant that politics was now war, as it is in many parts of the world, and tens of millions of Americans were the enemy.
This is why I question the validity of a video of Putin parroting "MAGA conservatives", as Biden terms it, as I just can't understand why Putin would deliver such a speech.
