"Nuh uh you are blinded by Maga"

"No u"

"No u"

I mean, I didn't even put any opinion or commentary in there. I just gave the source and left it alone.

So then tell us why you posted this article with that title. It reads absolutely like a gotcha clickbait smear. Reminiscent of many threads started by a poster that is pro DeSantis. Why not hold yourself to a higher standard or be more careful in how you title your thread?

Here are some fair titles to actually discuss it:
Thoughts on RFK Jr as potential CDC director
Would you trust a Democrat like RFK Jr as CDC director?

Then have a quib of DeSantis was asked if he'd consider him and I'm not sure which way I lean.

Instead of encouraging discussion we get this stupid mud slinging and have to find the few knowledgeable posts (Nortex and others) that provide actual good info.

I posted exactly as what Fox News reported. Don't shoot the messenger bro

That's it. Okay so you were trolling. Guess you go into the ignore list as your takes aren't based in a desire to learn for yourself but rather score points.

Honestly you post embarrassing takes for being so well "connected". You seem to try to emulate Trump's style but lack the perceived persona or wit to pull it off. Stop trying to be a characiature of MAGA.

Confirmation bias.

You already hate DeSantis and think he's every horrible thing Trump calls him, so you see a false headline and it instantly confirms the untruths you already believe.

Your description of being cosnervative: "hate same sex marriage" and "shoot illegals" are awful expressions of supproting the sanctity of marriage and secure border. They are vulgar and cause you to lose credibility from anyone who isn't America f--k yeah kind of person.

If you only read one sentence of the entire quote like the OP, yes, you can interpret that way. Just like if you selectively edit out certain clips, you can Nick Sandmann look like he was accosting a poor Native American man, instead of what actually happened when you look at the whole video.

Okay, LDP could have posted the entire quote. But I quoted Desantis' complete response, and it's clear that the thread title and article make a good point.

I would also say that Trump's statements about RFKJ are equally as dumb:

Quote:

He's a very smart guy, and a good guy. He's a commonsense guy, and so am I. So, whether you're conservative or liberal, common sense is common sense.
RFKJ is not a smart guy. He's a whackjob, and both Trump and Desantis apparently are catering to their base trying to say otherwise. Here's the positions RKFJ has taken

  • He called the NRA a terrorist group
  • He wanted to ban Exxon from operating in NY because he alleged they misled the public on climate change.
  • He wanted the Koch brothers to be tried as war criminals
  • He wished there was a law allowing climate change skeptics to be punished.
  • He thinks that Sirhan Sirhan, who was seen by dozens and actually photographed killing his father, may not have been the real killer.
  • He said that Covid 19 was targeted at whites and blacks, and that Jews and Chinese were most immune.

This guy is a kook, and any attempt by Desantis or Trump to make it appear otherwise makes me lose hope.

The whole thing is disingenuous. Vivek literally said he would consider RFK as VP. Trump praises him as common sense, and DeSantis said some of the only agreement would be on FDA and CDC stuff, so that would be a problem. Of the 3 main R primary candidates, DeSantis has the least positive things to say about RFK and he gets the attack article. You literally have to turn off some reading comprehension ability to come to the conclusions that he was putting him out as a serious candidate for those positions.

Not defending RFK by any means. I agree with you. I just think that the idea that RFK will be anywhere near the White House if DeSantis is elected is nothing more than idiocy. He was asked a question in an interview and he bunted the question away instead of attempting to knock it out the park.

You called yourself the queen of concerned moderates this month while lamenting conservative social issue positions broadly. Keep trying. I didn't hurt your feelings did I? I don't understand why not coming out and flat laughing at the idea in the first 10 seconds of the response is blowing it, but a straight "I'd consider him for VP" or "He's common sense, like me" is not blowing it...

This is nothing but a manufactured blunder. There literally is nothing there. Like the slavery in curriculum thing, unless you make up new definitions of words, there is absolutely nothing to defend, because no one actually believes there was a problem.

2. Seeing the usual suspects (the Magas versus the DeSanties) go after each other.
3. The fact that Fox News actually acts like all the other media outlets with their clickbait articles.
4. The fact that most people didn't bother to actually read the article.

Now we just need the text message exchange of LDP with someone within the GOP talking about this and it will be all complete.

Why don't you stick to the issues instead of ad hominem. NOTHING in your post adds to the discussion.
