A Gaza ceasefire deal could be reached within the next 48 hours, multiple sources familiar with the negotiations say.
Two Israeli sources said a deal was "very close," with one saying an announcement could come within the next 24 hours. A third source said a deal could be reached in the next 48 hours, with the release of hostages likely beginning early next week.
A US official confirmed progress had been made, saying that a deal could come within "days."
