After Israel struck Hamas leadership in Qatar yesterday, Qatari PM flying in to talk with Trump today (he met with Witkoff yesterday). The Qatari's have been treated like a special ally in the region (this was formalized under "Biden"), while failing to play any meaningful role as one, though they are happy to host our biggest base in the region there, contingent on us not attacking anyone in the region without their permission.

I don't think I am alone in pointing out many are sick of this duplicity. Mike Baker discussed this, this am on his PDB podcast as well. Apparently it didn't kill all of the senior officials as hoped, but it clearly sent a message.

I'm happily in that minority majority.

The best thing about it is that no matter what anyone does - at all - Israel isn't going anywhere.

They have hard times coming, but every attempt to erase them will always fail, and provide allot of entertainment for those of us who know what's going on.

Everyone backs ending homelessness. But when you start asking the right questions and the solutions start to require the "backers" to lift a finger or make difficult decisions about the population. Suddenly the "idea" of ending homelessness falls apart and nothing is ever done to end homelessness.

People back "we have to do something" when it comes to the mythology of "Palestinians as Victims of Israel/West/Colonization".

There is strong evidence to suggest that Israeli Arabs(Palestinians) are much better off in every measurable way than "Palestinians" would be under the alternate timeline where Israel does not exist over the last 75 years.

So why is the requirement that the "Palestinians" not do what their Israeli Arab cousins did 75 years ago not the best solution?

Because then the power dynamics shift away from those that gained power and wealth running Palestinian Victim Inc. and places that power with a population raised from birth as victims.

So go back to your original statement. Do any power brokers, Middle Eastern or Western, actually want this group of Arabs that chose a different path than the ones that are citizens of Israel, to actually ever have their own country with their own agency?

I guarantee many Muslim leaders don't want to ever see it.

The world has simply created Israel as the bad guy that prevents it from ever happening because it's easier to believe Israel is to blame or the West is to blame than the reality.

Virtue signaling is the easiest thing to do. Actually solving the problem of what to do with a group of millions of people co-dependent on their own abusers is a difficult problem to solve. Especially when the world seems to have a low tolerance for eliminating the abusers. For anyone not following along. Israelis are not the abusers here. The Palestinian people are held captive by other Palestinians that would rather rule their victims with the facade of being freedom fighters than actually lead their people into joining a modern multi-ethnic multi-religious generally secular civilization where they have to share the same air with others that don't believe the same things they do.

Agree with all of this. The Palestinians are simply pawns behind enemy lines for the rest of the Muslim/Arab world. They wont actually help them via relocation because Palestinians are terrible citizens and it would remove the beachhead Muslims have inside of Israel.

Kinda funny the MSM seems to be downplaying this incredible event orchestrated by President Trump.

When he got Israel to agree to this plan last week, everyone was downplaying it as "wishful" and "unlikely" to be approved. Now, they should be eating their words.
