The liberal CNN host baselessly blaming trump is evil.

Trump baselessly blaming DEI is good.

In reality, both are moronic.

Trump did not blame DEI.

Did you even watch the presser? Swear it feels like 1984 on this board sometimes.
1984 was great times. Didn't get to see the presser but based on the scale of the tragedy I find this post to be very odd. What does a tragic event have to do with what was generally a very successful year for the US with the USSR being bent over a barrel.

In general, DEI absolutely compromised competence and adversely effected organizational effectiveness in a very negative way. No way one can honestly and truthfully make a case otherwise.

Read 1984 in high school. Based on your posting history, how about you use your internet for something besides pron. Maybe then you'd have a clue the way economics, history, and the way the world works.

Kind of interesting how a white guy can screw up and he's just a screw up. But anyone else screws up and they were a DEI hire.

You accused Trump of blaming DEI. Still waiting on you to back up your claim. I think I'll bumb this thread until you post up.

Also, DEI hiring didn't start in 2019. I posted the history. Educate yourself.

I love reading people **** on Trump when the last 4 years we had a dementia patient for a POTUS who could only answer prescripted questions hand-picked for him and then he would read the "answers"...poorly. GTFO with your criticisms.

Whataboutism. Both things can be true. Trump's a dolt on this issue and Biden was a potato.

We all know where this is going to end up. It's an opportunity to point out the immoral policies of the Obama and Biden admins that have left Americans less safe and might very well have played a roll in this crash. Near misses are up dramatically over the last 10 years. We know qualified candidates have not been hired in both Air Traffic Control and the military for the simple reason of their color. We used to call that Racism....but I guess that terms so 20th century.

Trump is playing offense. If you think leftists were going to suddenly go thru a brain transformation and not blame him for it; you've had your head up your ass the last 10 years.

Was DEI directly responsible for this? I don't know. But I do know it's immoral, has led to less qualified people in key roles in Aviation, the military and government in general; and is an abomination that must be ended (I would add in private industry more broadly as well). I don't blame him shooting his shot in this forum. The other side is only mad they didn't get the bully pulpit to Trumpet their bull**** before he could pre-empt the conversation.

If the shoe fits. Biden's entire admin were DEI hires...they said so. I take them at their word. I have read dozens of DEI and CRT propaganda presentations used in the military, private industry and government HR discussions. Don't blame white guys for the success of the Lefts own PR plan. They've been proud of it. Competence mattering ended in 2008.

They told us they were hiring based on DEI...I take them at their word.

The DEI narrative is just a distraction, in this case.

More troublesome is how Trump immediately threw his own military under the bus, blaming them for the crash before all facts were gathered.

Don't get your feelings hurt by mere talk. Let actions speak.

His first action last night was to throw the military/Blackhawk under the bus. That's my point. Sure it's just a mean tweet. But if I were a current Blackhawk pilot, I just saw my CIC sling **** at my peers right out the gate.
A few dead peers at that, ones still in the Potomac.

It's so odd the pass some people give Trump on things like this. I try to imagine any democrat president, hell any prior republican president, saying the **** he does and how these people would respond.

Mind boggling and the first post of this thread just straight regurgitation without any critical thinking. Smh

Criticizing my critical thinking while unironically demonstrating you didn't understand the purpose of the thread.

Yep.
Quite possibly. Video has already emerged of Bidentie officials openly talking about seeking completely unsuitable for FAA positions. This may end having more legs than initially was inclined to think.

I worked for the USDA in Ag Research for a while. I knew my boss, the leader of the research group we were in, and the Director of the Experiment Station, essentially my three direct bosses.

If you held a gun to my head, I couldn't tell you the names of the heads of state, regional, or national USDA-ARS. Heck, I'd have to Google who was Secretary of Agriculture.

(I did Google, it was John R. Block)

Point is, what a stupid assertion. None of the worker bees in these agencies know who the Queen Bee is, and they keep collecting honey day in, day out, regardless of who's laying the eggs.

In all honesty, I think it's pretty premature to be blaming DEI for this crash, or to even assume that there is anything political about this crash.

Is it though? Go ahead and read this thread and get back to me.

False comparisons for that increase. Of course 2023 had significantly increased numbers because 2023 was the year air travel and number of flights were increasing significantly. 2022 was still on significantly reduced number of flights due to Covid (not here to debate the merits of Covid protocols but the fact remains that there were significant increases in number of overall flights from 2022 to 2023).

And in sorry, but there was not a 65% difference in air travel in 2022 vs 2023. To handwave an entire thread of good information you were too lazy to read because you think a 65% increase in near misses is simply due to more flights is patently absurd.

From what I found there were around 9mm departures in 23 and 8.5mm in 2022 taking in to account both domestic and intl. I didn't include private or cargo in those numbers. I don't think that difference justifies a 65% increase in significant incidents and certainly isn't misrepresenting the data. These numbers were taken from a government website.

Not 65% but not 4% like you're saying. Was closer to 37% increase in traffic.

Your article discusses passenger kilometers, mine is departures. You know, the part of a flight where ATC is involved?
