Putin about to get told how high to jump by Trump

Trump gave up all leverage before negotiations even started. Art of the deal.

A good summary:

This is shaping up like Chamberlain negotiating with Hitler over Czechoslovakia without even having the Czechs at the table.

Hyperbole much? Want the war to continue indefinitely or borden ??

What's worse? Indefinitely or borden?

I don't know why we are even involved in negotiations. To me the comparison to Chamberlain is in our narcissistic need to look like the hero. Let Ukraine decide if peace is in their best interest. That may seem obvious to us but it's also very possible Russia is just trying to buy some time with a "peace" settlement so they can reengage later on. They have already proven they can't be trusted as far as they can be thrown and as things stand they've accomplished nothing strategic. Ukraine may think it's in their best interest to grind on Russia as long as possible to get the public to completely turn on Putin and, candidly, it's the Euro trash that should be pushing Ukraine to either settle or keep grinding (aka funding their war efforts).

We're 'involved' because we helped start the war, funded it, provided most of the weapons to one side, and prevented a truce 6 months in.

On Wednesday's "Alex Marlow Show," host and Breitbart Editor-in-Chief Alex Marlow discussed the Russia-Ukraine war.

Marlow stated, "If it was not for Joe Biden and Tony Blinken and the horrible foreign policy that his administration carried out of putting literal Russophobes in charge of Ukraine policy and Russia policy and allowing for Ukraine to get teased with the idea that they could be joining NATO…that was a disaster…it was very much Joe Biden's fault, more than any other person…Putin's a close second, it's Putin's fault, too. … Hegseth [has] clarity on this issue."

Trump certainly lays the blame at Biden's feet for idiotically helping to start it, and then not ending it years ago:

This.

And some here cheered on Brandon for it.

Zelensky says no election this year either. Only one side in this war has a leader elected by the people.
How does Zelensky hold an election in the 20% of Ukraine that is Russian-occupied?

Not this again.

Like that gal in the movie frozen, let it go.
Let the election bull**** go then...

You go first.

I think you've got me confused for someone else. Not sure what this means.
Then why were you quoting me?

Because Ukraine isn't getting that land back.
They actually did get a fair amount of it back from what Russia initially controlled in case you can't remember. I would say if the current lines are frozen it is still a feat that tiny Ukraine was able to fend off the mighty Russia and Putin for the most part. They would continue to exist as a country. I'd take that not as a victory but also not as a defeat.

No one cares. This diabolical waste of money and lives needs to be done and over-with.

True, Putin had caused more than enough diabolical waste and loss of Ukrainian lives.

It's time for the Ukrainian suffering to end.

I wonder what Trump would do if Europe actually steps up to the plate and allows Ukraine to continue this war by giving them the necessary equipment. I know there is a manpower shortage but Russia seems to be exhausted militarily at this point and the long range attacks on Russian industry are going to take a toll. It seems Trump is somewhat just appeasing his buddy Putin at this point.

Why do you want people to keep dying in a war?

If Europe wants to step up help Ukraine, and Ukraine wants to keep the war going because they think they can make gains and "win", then I would presume Trump would continue doing what he's been doing. Trying to get America out of being a major player in this war.

Peace is one way.
Europe stepping up is another way.
America getting out of the way and letting the cards fall is another, but least preferred.

Your simpleminded assumption that he's trying for peace to appease Putin is extremely shortsighted, and there have been numerous people here saying America needs to do one of the three above and none of them involve appeasing Putin.

This. I think Ukraine has fought it's ass off and I think they should be given a fair position in the negotiations. Putin started this whole thing so these deaths are on his hands.
