Come on, defenders of the fake republicans. Tell us all why this is a good thing. Defend it.

We're a month into the legislative session and here's the only stuff the Burrows regime has done so far.
1) pass a resolution praising Beyonce
2) empower 6 Democrats with committee chairmanships (in violation of GOP rules)
3) give the Democrats co-equal power in the rest of the committees as vice-chairs
4) vote themselves extra-long weekends

Anyone wanna chime in with a mea culpa yet? Anyone...?

He has adjourned the session without action a time or two. Just running out the clock. Leftist piece of *****

Any Magnolia folks reading this, just found out Cecil Bell actually voted for Burrows, so he ain't doing jack sh*t to fix things.

I am done voting for him, you should be too.

If the GOP does not censure Burrows at an absolute minimum, then the GOP is just as much to blame as the RINO's are.

It's a work in progress, but there needs to be a censure at the local level and the Lubbock GOP is not conservative. I do believe that censure from other countries are now permitted though.

The SREC and CECs are actively working on it.

I kind of have to laugh that Stan Gerdes bent over and voted for Burrows, ensuring he would have a strong primary challenger next election, and Burrows didn't even toss him a bone with a committee chair position.

What do you want to know? CECs and the SREC are working together to create the best censure resolutions possible so they're not dismissed. It's likely that censures won't come for a few months because they want solid items to list in the censure. Our SREC reps are working with the CECs in their district to document 3 solid censurable actions. Censure of the Speaker can now be initiated by CECs outside his district, which is good because the Lubbock one is full of Burrows lackies. I would encourage you to speak to your precinct chair and county chair to voice your opinion because they need public support and/or pressure to bring a censure.

I would encourage everyone to contact all that you know who care remotely about politics or what happens in this state. Most of us have largely ignored state politics for most of our lives and the "Republicans" in charge here are banking on that continuing to be a fact.

My texts from Todd Hunter brag about all the good they are doing and how they've locked this state down for us which, in fact, is a lie.

Share this new vice chair rule with everyone, share the pic above with the committee chairs. Most people have no idea this is happening and would be shocked to know this.

I just sent out a text to family and some close friends. They will have no clue about this but will immediately share it with their circles. Make this go viral.

Moody is an insufferable lib, but the speaker pro temp does absolutely nothing. It would make no difference if it's Jo Jones or Brian Harrison. Case in point, when Moody was last speaker pro temp, the house passed constitutional carry and the heartbeat bill.

No it's not. No one gives a **** about this except the political junkies on this thread. Everyone else is living their lives after voting for the Republican on the ballot.

Again, Texas is a purple state.
Texas is a very red state with a few blue cities that overall voted red for statewide candidates and presidents by a 9-17% margin over their democratic challengers. The problem is we keep electing "conservatives" like Bonnen, Burrows, Phelan, Hull, Gerdes, etc. in the house that would rather work with democrats than their fellow republicans and they end up giving us purple state governance instead.

Texas is a red state with masquerading liberals throughout our government.

Unfortunately, voters are not tuned in enough to know it is happening. Republicans tend to act ethically, so we don't expect people to openly lie to us, even when caught doing what they claim not to be doing. It is why it is crucial for us to blast out there what Burrows, Phelan, Brad Buckley, and many others are up to when they make backroom deals and enrich themselves while defying the will of their unsuspecting constituents. We have to recognize they are liars acting for their own personal interests.

This is my point. We are a purple state because we are governed that way.

Doesn't matter if the voters are red. Government passes the laws. If they aren't red then your state isn't red.
