My DQ apparently is on the boycott list for supporting DJT. I'm in Marble Falls. Have not noticed anything yet. My employees are mostly Hispanic.

I went to the Katy location once a couple years ago. I wasn't impressed, but the burger I got was smallish and didn't have tomato slices. I don't recall seeing the Big Hat that I see on their online menu, which I would eat in a heartbeat. So maybe I'll have lunch over there some day next week.

If you like them, that's great. I first ate there when they were a trailer in Downtown Austin on west 6th, and the fast burger options were limited. I never thought their burgers were anything special at all. If you like them, cool. (I don't care about their labor policies, btw, just think the burgers are "meh").

Tell that to the franchisee who has all his obligations and liabilities - which none of the employees ever have to worry about - explain 'skipping a day of work' to the franchise or the bank (or investment group). Maybe they'll be cool with that loss of revenue and be generous on what's owed each month.
There are 1M people in Austin now. If they are good enough they will probably be ok.

was in the ATX last week. Took my aging parents out for a burger in cedar pk at mooyah. Idk mooyah's politics, but the manager/owner was a good guy, and he overloaded us with fries. It was a tasty tasty burger.

Grew up eating Burger Boy . Before they sold their name to Burger King they were Whopper Burger. Crinkle cut fries hold salt and ketchup far better than anything else out there.

I'll have to give P. Terry's another shot. Ate there once and wasn't impressed. Wasn't like I thought it was bad or anything, just don't remember anything about it that made me think I needed to go back real soon.
The franchisee fired long time employees who knew what they were doing. Maybe if there are other problems you fire them. But hiring new people and training them takes time and resources. The single day was lost regardless of firing the employees. But the other loss (time & opportunity cost for hiring & training) is on the owner or manager.

Sometimes you need to remove the poison no matter how bad it hurts. Been there and the long term fix is better for the atmosphere than the short term inconvenience. Been there. One bad attitude can be contagious. Sometimes opportunities present themselves.
