When people say elections have consequences, this is one of them. Electing conservatives continually rolls back science, medicine, and understanding in general.
People literally had their lives ruined over pseudoscience and government lies during Covid. It's truly amazing that you can still defend it. Nearly everything Democrats defended and demanded during Covid was based on money and control guised as "science."
You're probably a SNL fan and think everyone who voted for Trump is racist too, right?
People had their lives ruined because of a novel coronavirus. Sorry about your/our luck.
FTFY
You can make **** up all day, doesn't make it true.
My luck was fine. I didn't get the jab. I don't have to worry about the long-term effects of an unproven and ineffective vaccine that many were forced to take. It's actually hilarious and sad to me that people like you still believe the BS even when you are reading a board where truth is available to you. It would be one thing if you were a poor sap who only watched MSNBC. But you're here. That makes you astoundingly stubborn and ignorant when it comes to "the science."
It wasn't REAL science dude. And many doctors (those people who have spent their lives in the field) knew it then and certainly know it now. We live in a world where money trumps all, and a lot of people got rich on the vaccine you continue to defend.
And masks aren't effective for stopping the spread of Covid or Influenza. They are, however, pretty good at stopping dust when I mow my lawn.
Yeah I don't need you to tell me what the doctors think, I work with many. We had the triage tents, I've seen it. I've seen the science and I've seen the vaccine report for our clinic and our hospital, 100% of our physicians, 100% of the hospital. We had no mandate.
You're telling me these providers, who spent a decade+ of their lives, just to get a diploma to go to work, and then another decade+ to build a practice, who spend all day seeing patients and doing research constantly (if we had a dashboard for UpToDate it'd be continually updating). It's their job. You're telling me they took "thE jAb" willy nilly?
Everything you've said is false.
No. They, like you and me, are just people who made choices based on what their government and the media was telling them. We all have stories about Covid. We're not talking about triage tents. We're talking about the Covid lies that you still believe to be true even now that they've been debunked.
My doctor prescribed me Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine when I got Covid. He's works in the Austin area and has practiced for over 30 years. Was he wrong to prescribe these drugs? Do you still believe the vaccine stops transmission? Do you still believe beaches should be locked down? Do you still believe healthy children need the vaccine? Do you still believe natural immunity after recovering from Covid is a myth? You obviously STILL believe masks work. Even Fauci is laughing at you.
Was he wrong to prescribe these drugs? Legally? No, but there's no indication for those. You wasted time and money. He made some cash on a visit though.
Do you still believe the vaccine stops transmission? No one claimed vaccines stop transmission. If they did, they missspoke or were wrong. Vaccines prime immune response so you end up with less viral load when/if you contract the virus. Less load, less likely to spread. Simple. An adjacent goal was to reduce severe illness, especially illness leading to hospitalization.
Do you still believe beaches should be locked down? In hindsight, probably not. In context, noval virus = some attempts to curb spread will be wrong, again, in hindsight it's easy to say it was stupid.
Do you still believe healthy children need the vaccine? Still? That's for the patient and provider to decide based on the health of the child. During the pandemic, the goal in the child population (IMO) was to further help reduce spread. A bunch of asymptomatic, high viral load gremlins going to see grandma isn't ideal. Again, context is important.
Do you still believe natural immunity after recovering from Covid is a myth? I've literally never met someone with this opinion. We all know how the immun system works. We also know how mutation in virus' works, I'll let you put those two together for why you may have heard that comment, I've never seen that expresed, though.
You obviously STILL believe masks work.Because they do. They may not "work" in the made up, bad-faith argument of a vaccine skeptic, they aren't 100% effective, but they help reduce the spread of virus. Again, please go look up viral load. And, if we actually wanted to parse this out you'd need to clarify which masks. Bandanas? Surgical? N95? Respirators?
