Who is the guy that posits the theory that the Sphinx is actually around 15,000 years old based on erosion lines? Maybe he is onto something.

They couldn't use radar imaging to find Kristin Smart's body encased in concrete in Ruben Flores's backyard, but they can find another civilization under the pyramids? Consider me skeptical.

And the idea that pyramids are older than advertised and had "other" uses is not new. Been a conspiracy for a long time. The main one being that they were energy generators.

It's actually Dr. Robert M. Schoch from Boston University. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_M._Schoch

This could be a good test of interesting theories from graham Hancock (and others) about pre flood civilizations…or not. Either way, I'm fascinated.

Sounds like there will be controlled release(s) of further information.

Graham Hancock

He also believes a 20,000 year old advanced civilization built Goblekli Tepe because the people living there when it was thought to have been built by archaeologists 6-8 k years ago weren't advanced enough to build it but he doesn't state how this super advanced society from 20,000 years ago left absolutely zero evidence behind that they ever existed like tools, homes, skeletons, literature etc.

He basically states in all of his theories that either a comet or a flood wiped out all evidence other than the monoliths left today that we attribute to much later periods.

Your comment about the zero evidence got me thinking - if we were wiped out by a comet how much would still be there in 20 thousand years? I think there would be some all concrete overpasses that might survive for thousands of years. But tens of thousands?

I think most metal products would be gone or unrecognizable at that point. Certainly all wood, paper, and plastic products. All books (physical and e-books) would be gone, etc. Would an asphalt road be recognizable as a road in 3,000 years? Would the remains of a concrete structure be recognized as an ancient building in 8,000 years? Do we have a Rosetta Stone of our own? Etc. an interesting thought exercise.

The real problem is the tens of thousands of years figures. Once you start getting there, indeed, much is gone. Probably the most apparent things that might well be there all that time are some road and train tunnels and that kind of underground installation remnants that once uncovered could only have been intelligent work.

The ancient parallels would be any similar robust structures -- some dams perhaps, or their foundations but even they would have failed or worn away. Every metal man-made thing in the land or ocean rusted away.

The organized foundational remains of cities might be substantial enough even if not very recognizable to prove the point.

And of course, some space debris if they happen to find it. Fascinating question.

There is a gene bank with Animal DNA and seed deposits from all over the world banked in an underground storage facility in Sweden. There are numerous sites around the world like NORAD with high technology buried deep under mountains that would survive any natural disaster including a meteor strike.

The features are approximately 1 mile deep. Most likely natural vertical rock formations known as dikes, joints or hoodoos. They are common to that region.

Quite fascinating. This reminded me, there was a show several years ago on the History Channel - Life After People.

I need to give that a rewatch. The show looks at progressively longer time periods and what would happen to nature as well as the structures and infrastructure if people were to suddenly disappear.
