Let me make sure I have the right case. This is the one where NY fined Trump hundreds of millions of dollars for over valuing his assets, yet the lenders all testified they account for that and that he had been an excellent customer…..there was no victim and this is the judge who presided over the case?

Wow just wow. This ought to make its way into a whole chapter in the Law for dummies revised edition.

See, this here is what has me worried. You can't have something quack like a duck, fly like a duck, swim like a duck, and look so much like a duck if Republicans got together and made a model to present. It's more certain than a no brainer.

Lots of folks holler about privileged white folks, the downtrodden ,etc, etc but will break and bend the law and sheet all over the downtrodden to make a buck.
If they are in private business they gouge hell out their brothers and sisters, and if they are in government, they set themselves up in a bureaucracy , where they stomp on the little guys, or useless tools as we say, to have power! Nothing more ruthless than a female, black bureaucrat , who when cornered, screeches about fairness.

Or James is that stupid? When I used to work in real estate closings and saw escrow files, the crap I was seeing on mortgage apps made my eyes roll...but they were approved...so not my job.

I remember being at a CE specifically on real estate closing for escrow agents. One of the speakers was from FHA and lecturing an audience of escrow agents that if they saw anything hinky on the financial statements to report those immediately. Entire room groaned, when one escrow agent stood up and said, "Ma'am, that's illegal for us to do. We can't. We cannot stop a closing from happening for that reason. Not our job."

The charges against James seem to me to be based on her personal financial dealings, not her state based employment.

And deduct $10 million from any federal funds going to that state.

Why do my "preconceived notions" look exactly like the statue only at a 1:2 scale? Should read more like "confirmatory representation" or something along those lines...

And as far as asking "who paid for it" - I'm guessing you already know that it was you, me, and everybody that's ever paid taxes.

I would expect this was the City of New York, authorized by whatever the governing body of that city that can fund expenditures. Therefore, paid by the taxpayers of the city. Would be interested to know if anyone has information other than my rampant speculation.

These seem to be pretty blatant "errors" and even if "innocent" errors them at best she is a total hypocrite.

But I suspect ol Letitia has a cupboard of embarrassing stories that will out Fani Mae Willis to shame.
