You can change the leadership group or the individual members but their ideology will remain the same until the people chose to reform or change.

I'm puzzled by the notion that someone would want to support the Palestinian people.

They are about the least likely group that I would want to support. Their culture appears to be that of b*tch and moan about everything and to make demands on anyone who will listen because they are so mistreated.

A couple of years ago, Iceland took in some Palestinian refugees. It was a very stupid thing to do, but they did it. So what did they do? They started protesting that Iceland didn't take in enough Palestinians and demanded that Iceland take in their relatives and friends without limit.

The Palestinians are just about the last people you would want in your country. One thing you can count on them for is that they will export their culture to your country and that is something you should never want.

the Palestinians voted Hamas into office. They are one and the same.
worth noting the median age of Palestine is 19, which means half of Palestine's residents weren't even alive when hamas was elected in 2006

They were cheering and desecrating the bodies of the dead and not dead hostages. It's on video. You can't refute that fact.

It is fair to extrapolate that if they participated, cheered on, and celebrated the horrors Hamas committed that they would have voted for them in 2006 and bear a not so small amount of responsibility for supporting them.

By the time World War 2 ended, Germany had gone 12 years without an election.

The NSDAP still had a bunch of under-30 supporters who never had the opportunity to vote for Hitler.

All these students being deported by Trump say they were supporting the Palestinian people and not Hamas. Do you think that is even possible, or are the two so entwined and supportive of each other to a degree where they are essentially the same? I think it is the latter.
Students also took our embassy in Iran. Screw them.

So imagine the date is 25-June-1942. Can you support the Japanese people without supporting the Japanese Imperialists?

You could have empathy for the Japanese people without supporting the Japanese leadership but the real truth is most Americans just viewed all Japs as evil because the leaders set the policy for all of the Japanese just like Hamas sets policy for all Gazans. I think The Japs were all essentially brainwashed into thinking they were unbeatable . Maybe there were some that didn't really buy it but they were effectively insignificant and were probably chastised and persecuted if they were brave enough to say what they really thought. Same with Gaza imo. There are parallels but I doubt most Gazans really believe Hamas is unbeatable. They have witnessed too many ass kickings

Similar with the Nazis in Germany altho they weren't as isolated . I believe there was a much higher % of Germans that hated the things Hitler perpetrated vs Hirohito but they just didn't have the juice to stop it. Ditto with Lenin/Stalin and Mao. My personal belief, Mao could have been stopped if FDR had just supported Chang Kai Shek. FDR was such a ******.

A bunch of y'all are really trying to simplify great state competition. It's not easy and often impossible to prevent the cult of personality. Evil people with ambition exist. I would argue that stable democracies are the best speed-bump for those types to gain traction. Unfortunately, democracies take generations to truly become established ie, the USA. Even today we are fighting to keep it.

To say hamas is Palestine and Palestine is hamas is untrue. There are thousands of Palestinian Christians. Some of the Palestinians (Christian and non Christian) I met a few years ago are the sweetest people. One of them led us on a tour of Bethlehem. She was so gentle and kind to us. I believe there are wicked people in Gaza and the West Bank. And the powerful should wield the sword of justice against them. But is it ok to be heartbroken over the innocent caught in the middle?
