And this reference is so low rent. I assume you are able to say such vile comments as a combat veteran.

You may not like Dan Crenshaw and want him primaried. Good luck and just be careful what you wish for.

ANY jokes about his eyesight are totally totally low rent and you just should not go there.

This is not true. I also have only one eye. Humor is a good thing. Back when I was a young field engineer some members of my team gave me a monocle since I didn't really need a whole pair of safety glasses.

I do not know you ,so, I do not know if you lost eyesight due to combat in defense of our nation (and may down the road have total loss of vision in both eyes) or were the subject of horrible torture over more than 5 years as a POW.

Jokes about that sort of thing do not set well with me.

Disagreement about political policy - great. You know this...

Toth just voted for the THC ban. He may have torpedoed himself. We'll see.

I got news for you.

Most conservatives don't really give a crap about legalizing pot and all of its subsidiaries.

I don't know about that. Most conservatives I know aren't really keen on nanny state prohibitions that don't work regardless of what is being prohibited. There are also quite a few shops in this district owned by conservative voters. DP for example is getting dragged on social media by conservatives at the moment.

Somehow republicans keep finding ways to step on their own dicks and NEVER fix what the people actually want fixed like cutting spending or figuring out a way to relieve property tax spiraling out of control.

So what ? Can he represent the district's and nation's interests better than Crenshaw should be the question to ask shouldn't it?

Crenshaw won the primary after a runoff because his opponent was the Link Letter backed entirely bat****, ham sandwich crazy self funded looney named Kathaleen Wall.

That woman moved back and forth between TX house districts and then the 134th on her family money trying to get elected to something for years. Crenshaw made her look like the ridiculous caricature of a conservative that Kathaleen Wall has always been. No bench due to the Link Letter/Jared Woodfill subscribers and BOOM we get Eyepatch McCain.

Never forget that Micheal Berry was a never Trumper and a huge Crenshaw/Wesley Hunt guy until he wasn't. All of the above are colossal ******bags.

And from experience -- when Michael Berry runs ads that say "this <service provider/jeweler/financial advisor/car dealer> is amazing, avoid them like the proverbial and literal plague because you will get fecked.

He's spending a bunch of money because he's losing.

And Trump has spoken by NOT endorsing Crenshaw.

voted for one of the no names vs Crenshaw in the last primary, then Crenshaw in the general. Will vote for Toth today or tomorrow. We'll see if we finally have a primary challenger with enough backing to get it done.

Not my guy, I'm N Montgomery County so voted for Steinman as Lutrell replacement. But this spot gets the news. Crenshaw has really alienated many in his district, as well as some of his former SEAL's.

No one suggested it was "in print".

But there's a reason Trump has not endorsed anyone in TX-2. What's your theory?

He likes Toth & Crenshaw equally?

So, um, what about this claim by Crenshaw?

Quote:

Congressional Candidate Steve Toth's campaign is being bankrolled by a Colony Ridge banker, and the numbers prove the connection.

The CEO of Woodforest National Bank loaned Colony Ridge $20 million in 2023. Now he's poured nearly $500,000 into Toth's Super PAC, funding nearly all the attacks against Congressman Dan Crenshaw.

Why? Because Dan Crenshaw demanded an investigation into Colony Ridge, sent a public letter to Attorney General Paxton, and even showed up at their headquarters unannounced to demand answers. He's been leading the fight in Congress against the cartels and illegal trafficking and that makes powerful insiders nervous.

Quote:

Woodforest National Bank CEO, who is also funding the Pro-Steve Toth super-PAC, Alamo Freedom Fighters PAC, provided a promissory note to the highly controversial Colony Ridge residential development while serving as the CEO of the bank's parent organization, Woodforest Financial Group.
Robert Marling has been the primary funder of a pro-Steve Toth super PAC called Alamo Freedom Fighters PAC to the tune over over $300,000. The PAC specifically opposes Congressman Dan Crenshaw

Current Revolt linked to this Texas Tribune article:

Quote:

Toth is backed by Robert Marling, a conservative megadonor and banker in The Woodlands who seeded a pro-Toth super PAC, Alamo Freedom Fighters PAC, with $250,000. Marling is the PAC's only disclosed donor; thus far, it has spent nearly $290,000 in anti-Crenshaw ads and mailers.

In addition, Unrig Our Economy, a Democratic group, has spent more than $500,000 on ads blasting Crenshaw, and the presumptive Democratic nominee, Shaun Finnie, has attacked him on the airwaves as well.

I don't buy this last minute slam from Eyepatch McCain as to a donor.

Per above Cruz waited a long time to endorse but I am glad he did and maybe this could put Toth over the top in the primary.

100%. Toth is a blithering idiot on flood control. He called it "woke." Flood control isn't about Kingwood. If you can't understand the importance of protecting the water supply for America's 3rd largest city, you shouldn't be in congress representing them. Toth is just a collection of MAGA catch-phrases. Crenshaw apparently has a drinking problem, but he actually has independent thoughts in his head. Colony Ridge is as much about flooding as it is about immigration, too.

Colony Ridge was created in Texas while Texas has been under complete Texas State republican leadership for decades. Abbott allowed this to happen and this is his accomplishment. All the while pretending he's against illegal immigration. Texas the same state that gives illegal aliens in state tuition while out of state American citizens pay much more.

Texas state and all those who have been continuously elected to top leadership gave Texas the largest illegal alien subdivision in the country.

Of course. You have anybidea how much money these Bubba county commissioners make from developers? How much tax revenue the comptroller can overlook if the right grease payments are made? Just say you're conservative and pro-business, make the right donations, and everybody wins. I think a lot of this is money laundering. Come up with a DOA development, pay the right officials to promote it, rake in a bunch of fake "funding," and then get shut down by the government for trying to build in a flood plain, or not getting the permits, etc. Romerica's housing project on the San Jac River, the Montgomery County dino park, etc. Wouldn't be surprised in Colony Ridge started as a huge money laundering operation.
