Also notice Abbott didn't endorse Crenshaw either, nor Trump. Probably because he's an abrasive corrupt dishonest jerk, not because they were bought off.

Pretty amazing and quick fall from grace.

I think part of the appeal veterans hold for voters is the idea that they're serious public servants who are above the fray of petty political games. Getting insnared in social media spats and making weird threats really undid that appeal.

Had a lot of hope for Crenshaw . He severely disappointed .

No doubt. I've lived just across the county line in Harris for 28 years. It's fascinating to compare left-wing graft to right wing graft. In Harris, the politicians steal from the tax-payers to build lousy schools, award no-bid contracts to cronies, high paying do-nothing jobs to subordinates, and allocate public works funding based on skin color rather than demonstrated need. In Montgomery County, they take their money from anyone who claims to be pro-business, allowing contractors to clear cut in flood zones without retention ponds, sand miners to pollute rivers with improper remediation, and boondoggles like dinosaur theme parks to percolate for years (money laundering?). Same level of corruption, but different path to get there.
