This doesn't seem that logical or likely to me. What big money cares that much about Toth vs Crenshaw? What could an interest or investment in Toth vs Crenshaw be that is so important that a Cruz endorsement is worth a threat to Cruz in case he decides he wants a 4th term in the senate in 2030?


Toth has been around in Montgomery county for a long time. I don't think he's just a maga one-liner guy. I've heard from a local politician that is running for another position around here that the problem with Toth is not that he's too "maga" (whatever that means). It's that he's too conservative- too religious specifically.

I think Cruz is waiting for Clarence Thomas or Sam Alito to retire so Trump or Vance/Rubio can nominate him to SCOTUS anyway.

Talking about the Israelites specifically, without Pharoah gifting Joseph, they dont grow into a nation in the Nile Delta. Without Cyrus, they don't rebuild the temple. Without Darius, it's not completed. Assyrians and Babylonians used to discipline them, along with the Greeks and Romans.

I'm not using that as a justification for the U.S...but the possibility of you, me or our country being used, isn't ruled out, based on scripture.

I think most people don't know or care that much about Toth. He can do well with people in this primary just because he's a long time recognizable name and he's NOT Lieutenant Dan

He's my rep. I was quite skeptical of him a few years ago when he ran because he had signs out the ass and was Dinesh's SIL so I thought he was another spoiled rich kid that would say one thing then get to DC and do another. He's really kept his word so far. Get daily e-mail updates as well that are nice. I know it's from a staffer, but it's nice. Seems as if he actually is working for the people he represents.

This shows just how bad Crenshaw was. I really thought people around here were kind of tired of Toth and don't really take him seriously. Was a state rep, then state senator, then back to being a rep. Tried to primary Kevin Brady a couple of times. I think he was a pool guy before all that. But man, Crenshaw was awful and burned a lot of bridges after his initial burst of popularity.

Will petty Dan vote against every republican bill until he's out of office neutralizing the slim house majority?

Toth vs. Crenshaw was one of the many death-or-taxes choices this election cycle. Paxton vs. Cornyn is another. Unfortunately, it takes a bunch of money to run, so we keep getting compromised, entrenched candidates. Blah.

In this case, Crenshaw's time was obviously up.

Ultimately, Crenshaw just didn't pass the eye test for voters.

I'm guessing Dan's next career will be lobbyist.
