Roy is 100% correct and Trump 100% wrong as far as spending is concerned. Trump spends like a drunken liberal.

LOL, Trump cut executive spending, which he can control. Congress spends the money.

Trump did add to the border protection, but he had to if we want illegals deported. There are millions that have been deported. You think that spending was not worth it?

Trump PUSHED the BIG "beautiful" bill. He didn't fight it. Just like he did all of his other huge spending bills. Even when he owned both houses of congress. That's the entire reason for his falling out with Musk. Trump wiped away all of Musk's progress with a swipe of the pen.

LOL indeed.

Well, maybe LMAO is more appropriate.

Of course Trump PUSHED the BBB. Trump needed the BBB to pass his tax cuts and fund his border war. Of course he pushed it. Are you against those?

He didn't push for congress to gut his doge efforts. The republicans in congress didn't support the Doge cuts. Only $9Billion was passed. Not Trump. Trump got USAID killed. He pushed for more cuts. But the republicans in congress wouldn't go along. Dip****s like ROY and his TDS wouldn't support him.

Tax Cuts and Border Security were too important for this country. We are seeing the results of that now. GDP growing and inflation cratering. Trump implemented Doge. He supported it. Death threats to Musk and Congress killed it.

The GOP owns both houses of congress. It's HIS FREAKING CONGRESS. By comparison, Obama passed Obamacare without a single GOP vote when he owned congress.

The BBB is a joke. The "cuts" (that were less than the spending increases) are made in the future and over 10 freaking years, while the spending increases happened immediately. And if it wasn't for Musk trashing the bill, Trump would have happily spent MORE.

And tax cuts don't mean crap if spending is increased. That money still comes out of our ass. Whether it is via inflation or other ways.

Uh, at least half the republicans in congress hate him. They won't even confirm his nominees, over a year into his term. It isn't HIS Congress. Republicans are feckless. They refuse to govern.

All Trump had to do is actually be fiscally responsible for a change and they would have been his champions. Instead, he tries to outspend Biden. It should be no wonder why the economically literate congressmen oppose him.

This Republican Congress sucks. Period. I don't care whether they like him or not, do your damn job and get the legislation to a vote. That will expose who's a fraud and who's not.

LOL, keep up!!

I was retorting two different arguments.

He either:

1) wants to spend like a flaming liberal (my point of view)
or
2) deep down wishes he could cut spending, but can't get congress to go along (the point of view of others here)

#1 means he is basically a liberal and incompetent and #2 means he's just incompetent.

Increasing the CRAP out of spending is the POS part. Tax cuts don't mean a damned thing if we pay even more in the future or now in inflation.

The BBB increased federal spending by $500 Billion while introducing tax rollbacks and tax code handouts some of which makes sense but others of which are just the type of straight up dumb@ss voter buys you only see in third world countries. Most everyone views our deficits growing by $3 Trillion at a minimum even after allowing for a theoretical surge in revenue.

How anyone tries to spin that as Trump cutting spending is beyond me.
