Well, this is F16, where a 97% rating from the Heritage Foundation (the bastion of liberalism) isn't good enough……

Rather have him in DC as well, but he'd be a good AG.

Yes I understand that speaking plainly about the events leading up to and on January 6 is an affront to MAGA Juche. I am not dissuaded from anything.

And that's the problem. You're not embarrassed about your completely wrong and juvenile look at the world. you're not speaking plainly about anything. You're literally making **** up. But then you supported all the corruption of the Biden administration so we really can't expect any better.

It's just really sad.

You say misrepresenting. You're still not making a solid response yes or no. You say he changed his view on Cheney.

So in just a few words, plainly state this for me. Are those three items true or not? You keep getting sidetracked by who posted it. Are they true or not yes or no.

And you've never heard the adage about why can't a prostitute be a good witness? It's been around forever.

I wasn't making your prostitute connection but ok. I do think it is worth scrutiny when someone who has shown themselves to be untrustworthy many times before says something that seems outrageous to have a skeptical eye towards it and make sure there is context. The fact it is from scummy people by itself doesn't mean it should be ignored but make no mistake they have an agenda. BTW, in the prostitute example that is someone who is generally considered reformed or trying to be truthful in spite of how they are viewed and that certainly isn't the case here. Ironically it's more like Stormy Daniels saying things about Trump and trying to make money off of it. Doesn't mean Trump didn't have relations with her but she's not someone I have much trust in simply by her word.

This is basically the same as if you took a quote from Trump right after Covid saying we needed to lock down or 100 other things we now now were severe overreactions and he has shifted on and then saying Trump is a Fauci loving lock down guy that agreed with Gavin Newsom. I mean in a way that's true I guess but it's also ridiculous. Or you could point to about 100 things Trump did in his first term in appointing someone that turned out to be terrible or supported a position he later shifted on. How many times did Trump say nice things about someone he later came to hate? Certainly far more than someone like Roy.

The stuff on Cheney is really weak. All he did was come out against immediately removing her from her position because at the time she said she thought Trump acted badly on Jan 6. He didn't even agree with her stance he just didn't think it was right to say she should be removed for saying her views. It's not like many people felt Trump's actions on Jan 6 in the immediate aftermath were bad but if your standard is that anyone who didn't 100% back Trump for anything did on Jan 6 to the point that they must also have insisted on removing anyone who said otherwise then that's fine I guess. Anyone that thinks Roy has any love for Cheney though is simply being dishonest and certainly that is what these folks are trying to do. They want to have someone who knows little about Roy to see him as a RINO that loves Cheney when anyone that knows anything about him knows how ridiculous that is. Same folks tried to say DeSantis was a Bush RINO that wanted Biden to win.

That's a lot of words just to say yes or no. And seemingly a lot of excuses.

But him being in a certain position doesn't affect my life in any way, but he seems to have a lot of red flags to me.

Either way the sun will rise tomorrow.

I don't have a big problem with Chip Roy. But the defense some are making for him here is not much of a defense. Defending him by saying he was initially wrong on most of the important issues of the last few years before changing his mind is not a great defense.

Why is his knee jerk response on everything such as January 6th, election fraud,. Covid, George Floyd, Liz Cheney.... always completely wrong and have to be walked back/adjusted later? That is not exactly a great selling point for his candidacy.

He likely doesn't believe he was wrong. He's being a politician

Could be. But that is even worse. That is implying that he is a complete fraud and in truth nothing but an establishment republican party hack.

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt based on his voting record and just guess that his initial instincts are awful. Which again, is not a great selling point for a politician

Yes those are things he said but the context is completely wrong. Clear enough?

Anyone but "MAGA Mays".

This part is bull***** And completely wrong.

But, one thing is clear: there can be little debate that, among other things, the President's pressure exerted on Vice President Pence to violate his oath, and the false hope it sent to emotionally charged supporters, was wrong, troubling, and impeachable.

Liz should be commended, not condemned, for standing up in defense of the Constitution and standing true to her beliefs.

Roy's fundamental problem is he speaks the truth and has principles. He will call balls and strikes and in the instances brought up here he made statements based on the facts given and later changed those statements after it was shown those facts were false.

He just isn't blindly loyal to Trump and that is blasphemy to some. The hate campaign for him is ludicrous, he's a very rare politician that is actually an honest person and he will stand for unpopular policies if he believes in them.

Paxton is the opposite. He is an opportunist and a terrible human but he plays the game with his blind loyalty to Trump so many will ignore his scumminess.

Ironically Roy has done more to actually advance Trumps agenda than just about anyone because he saved Trump from himself on multiple occasions and actually reads bills and understands procedures.

I love the "Roy is actually a Cheney loving Bush RINO" insanity from the Laura Loomer branch of MAGA.

Blind loyalty to Trump? LMAO. He's one of the worst TDS'ers out there.

Trump committed impeachable offenses? Really? That's massive TDS.
Supported Liz Cheney? LOL, Again, massiveTDS.

And the BS about not rushing to judgement on Cheney. Everyone knew what was happening. EVERYONE, including that dip**** Roy. So, he goes grandstanding because he thinks Trump is done so he can fling his TDS out for the world to see.

Now, it's hilarious that he has Trump in his campaign ads. Yes. Dude grandstand his massive TDS for years, and now tries to use him to get elected.

LMAO. Blind loyalty. That's pretty funny.
