Tetanus immune globulin is required to treat the neurotoxin.

And that only works on the neurotoxins that haven't already bonded with the nerve endings.

What? Not use electricity in our homes and drive wagons to work? Sounds like you've bought into the Green New Deal.

An Amish person is the last person I knew of having and having died from tetanus. It is not a good way to go…

There are some things I admire the Amish for. Identifying autism in their kids is not one of them.

I've been full time pediatrics for over 25 years and have yet to see a significant adverse event from vaccines but I've had several hospitalizations and surgical interventions for vaccine preventable illness -- primarily whooping cough and strep pneumo. I've seen more of those two in the last 12 months than in the last 24 years. It is the tip of the proverbial iceberg.

Do they have no autism or no diagnosis of autism?

And here is the headline from the media:

"Trump tells pregnant women 'don't take' Tylenol, contradicting standard guidance"

They're going to run the same script they did with HCQ and Ivermectin.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

Sadly, we're going to start seeing every deadly childhood disease make a comeback.

They'll blame it solely on illegals, not that fact the the diseases are totally preventable, but they've bought into the snake oil sales that all vaccines are deadly and cause autism.

Will be interesting to see how they react to kids being paralyzed by polio.

If you're asking about the link between autism and Tylenol, I think it's probably coming from this recently published study.

https://ehjournal.biomedcentral.com/articles/10.1186/s12940-025-01208-0

Couple of notes about this study - it's a meta-analysis, meaning the authors did a literature search and did an analysis of the data from those other research studies. The authors didn't do any direct studies by giving Tylenol to pregnant women.

The authors themselves state that you cannot conclude direct causation. If you've heard the term causation does not equal correlation, that applies here. One reason being that there is no way to know if what caused the women to take the Tylenol in the first place (ie, a very high fever) could have contributed to autism (or other disorders mentioned in the paper).

A few other comments, autism as a diagnosis has been around since 1943. Observations of symptoms very similar to those associated with autism have been around since the 18th century (late 1700s).

Tylenol has only had widespread OTC use since 1955.

My son has been part of extensive studies done as part of research on his genetic disorder. I firmly believe it's not necessarily Tylenol, but the explosion of women having children with some form of PCOS. Something environmental is causing early perimenopause which results in women passing down major chemical imbalances which manifests as the "autism spectrum". I love my son dearly, but my biggest regret is needing progesterone to sustain the pregnancy as I truly believe that chemically altered the conception process. IVF relies heavily on progesterone and other reproductive medicines to create the perfect environment out of an imperfect host. There are also many more women who need medical intervention to stay pregnant naturally, like myself.

But no one wants to pull the trigger and mandate that women get pregnant earlier in life & without medical intervention. The capitalist world needs women to wait until their late 30's because they don't make money off stay at home moms with no education.

/soap box rant of the day.

Thanks for sharing your story and perspective.

There's absolutely environmental factors at play with autism and with cancer and numerous other health factors. We are being poisoned. Only question is if it's intentional or accidental.

Capitalism did quite well prior to women entering the workforce.

What you may mean is that a huge federal bureaucracy needs more taxpayers to support it.

Accidental poisoning with intentional innovation. Each step forward means changing the Earth, what we eat, pollution around us. I wouldn't even be surprised if Autism was a short-term evolutionary response to a quickly changing world. Your body needs less minerals & vitamins to function, but that comes with sacrificing certain brain functions.

I don't doubt Tylenol plays some measurable role that can be parsed out of some dataset somewhere, but it's ignoring the much bigger picture. Autism is going to exist from now on with or without women taking Tylenol in the gestation process.

Everything you ingest and inhale has benefits and risks, including medications and vaccines.

Acetaminophen is an important medication in the treatment of fever and pain especially in situations where ibuprofen is contraindicated (bleeding disorders, cancer, pregnancy, renal disease, etc.). While there have been studies showing a links between acetaminophen and autism, there is an equal number of studies that have not (including the largest study to date). For the poster that said a physician friend wouldn't keep acetaminophen in the home due to toxicity, there are far more dangerous chemicals and medications in the home (acetaminophen at least has an antidote). A simple solution, which all pediatricians preach, keep all chemicals and medications locked or out of reach.

Leucovorin may prove to be an important medication in the treatment of autism; however, the data is minuscule (21 total studies with only 4 being placebo-controlled and enrolled 20-40 patients). Far more robust studies have proven the effectiveness and safety of vaccines than the supposed cure of autism.
