Which EV will be next? This vehicle was a non-starter from the get-go. IIRC, its mileage capability dropped to less than 100 miles on a full charge if it was pulling any kind of load.

They do? I spent a lot of time watching Rivian owner videos and they had a lot of problems with them. A fender bender caused much more damage and down for repair time, since not just anybody could do that bodywork.

is there a setting to turn that off? I know on my wife's car we were able to change it.

Ford WAS a major investor in Rivian at the beginning! 50% iirc!!!

I initially like it at first, mainly because it looked like a normal pick-up and not, well, a Cyber Truck.

There is probably a market for it of some sorts, maybe if the range was improved slightly and with a change of marketing. An electric truck will never do as much as a regular truck in terms of hauling or towing. But for a nominal passenger vehicle with the occasional need to move something large, which is how most people use trucks, it could work.

They marketed it as an electric F-150, even implying an electric Super Duty. It might work as an Electric Ranger. The 90s version.

Well, they had to pay for the tow to get it to the repair shop which was over 100 miles away, one way. Took nearly a month to get it back. So maybe their auto insurance covered the tow and a rental vehicle?

IDK for sure.
