Hybrids just make a ton more sense for a truck than an EV. Huge amounts of torque available, a powerful worksite generator with you at all times, long range when towing, and decent mileage.

In countries with well developed public transport systems, that would make sense for them.

For a country as big as the U.S.? Not as much. Don't have the infrastructure, not only for easy recharging on the road, but alternative public transport systems, as well.

When we lived up north in the 70s, most New Yorkers not only did not own cars, they didn't even know how to drive. Took the subway, the buses, trains, the ferries, etc for commuting to work.

So with Gates admitting global warming was a hoax
It's time for everyone to admit the same about electric cars. Hybrids would make sense for those that want them. But stop it already. And the auto start **** on vehicles has to end.

Most of this "growth" is not because of more acceptance, but rather more government interference. Electric cars were being forced down the consumers throats in Europe, Asia, and places like California in the good old USA.

Not a single EV owner in the US was forced to buy an EV. The model Y is one of the, if not the best selling cars in the world for a reason, and it's not because of government mandates.

Nope. Nearly all electric generation will be sapped for AI. That's the better, more lucrative money play. Capital follows the safer, more lucrative path. Because I am old and have seen this crap before, am reminded of the dotcom boom that was not based on earnings, even performance. AI is in that stage, in my view. But capital will chase it anyway.

For a different reason, capital is fleeing California, now NYC and New Jersey.

The Lightening was always a joke and never should have been made. Once the car nuts got a hold of it and put videos out comparing it to a regular F150 the jokes wrote themselves. Completely incapable as a truck and anyone that bought it for that got duped or was a sycophant for EV.

Hybrid has always been the next organic step that should have been taken but the left and Biden distorted the entire market with his ridiculous CAFE standards and then shamed the country into thinking that full EV was the only way forward to save the planet.

F'ing morons as usual.

That's the important part...

Anything that doesn't look like a hatchback design that was vomited out of the mind of some modern artist seems to get canned.

Challenger did a great job incorporating the notch-back design, and I thought it was a fairly popular vehicle (just too heavy). Yet they tossed the design.

Buy an aftermarket auto shutoff eliminator. Best hundred bucks I ever spent. You pull the dash panel, install a connection module behind the switch, put the dash panel back (easy to do) and you're done. It will stay in the on or off mode permanently.

If theu would have made it look like a classic mustang but as an EV they might have had a chance, but it doesn't look like a muscle car so the name makes it awkward.

Which was offset in the price of every ICE vehicle. We got to subsidize this sh't show with tax dollars and overpaying for the vehicles we actually want
