Look guys, I understand our guy is in office and we gotta support him. But, I don't see anything being done to curb inflation. I fear it will only get worse. Our spending is out of control.

We wouldn't. We also wouldn't run to the internet and cry about how much it costs. We knew what it would cost when we handed the money over.

Spending has been out of control since 1776. You think President Trump can wave his hands and bring prices down. Lucky milk is not more than 10 dollars a gallon. Lord knows the dems would love to up price groceries to hurt the middle class.

This is all in the Democrats. Direct your angry towards those ****heads.

They don't want a solution they want to make their gullible base believe that the Republicans are doing this.

how about not putting a 25% sales tax on everything coming into the country? That would be a great place to start.

You have to GUT THE FEDERAL Gov and stop printing money, or raise rates. Thats the only ways I know of. Trump has no control of either one.

This isn't something that's being caused in 2025. And we shouldn't look at it as a red blue dichotomy. This is systemic and it has been for decades. They bailed out the banks. They bailed out GM. We pay for their wars. They throw our money around the world.

They refuse to fix the welfare system or the healthcare system. They print paper that is good only because a $38 trillion dollar debtor (who soon won't be able to pay their interest on the debt) says it's worth "a dollar". No gold standard. Nothing.

They can't fix the inflation because the entire economy would collapse if they did what is needed.

They keep secrets from us. They develop enhanced viruses in China and then deprive us of civil liberties during a pandemic.

They're all the problem. There are few that at least pay lip service to the issues and far fewer that actually try to do something. But the vast majority become wealthy and cow tow to lobbyists. They don't act in our interest.

Red blue…it's all theater.

They paid for their wars with your tax dollars and also with your untaxed dollars. Inflation is theft.

I'm not limiting this to Trump. I said you guys are touchy about this because it's under Trump. I don't think Trump is any more or less to blame than anyone.

This reminded my of something I read last year. It's paywalled now, but it links your milk issue directly with immigration policies at the end of your post..

https://www.nytimes.com/2024/10/15/magazine/milk-industry-undocumented-immigrants.html#:~:text=When%20I%20mentioned%20to%20Pete,we%20could%20get%20it%20done.%E2%80%9D

This quote struck me at the time, and seems relevant to the original question:

When I mentioned to Pete Wiersma, the president of the Idaho Dairymen's Association and no relation to Peter, that I'd read a study predicting that the price of milk would nearly double if foreign-born workers were removed from the industry, he shook his head.

"I don't think there would be milk," Wiersma said. "I just don't think we could get it done."

Then we can let the Chinese Communist Party produce everything for us while implementing open borders policies and hiring illegal immigrants at subsistence wages so that the Democrats can have an entire new generation of American welfare slaves on their Plantation.

A brave new world, for globalists and those who put America last.

It's all blue dude. For four years under the Biden administration or whoever the **** was running the country our country got in such a deep hole that Trump is still trying to get us out of it. He ain't perfect, but he is 300% better than what we've had. And the changes he's made in this last year alone have been amazing when Democrats told us they couldn't fix any of this stuff. Couldn't fix any of the **** that they broke.

Now you have the Democrats keeping the government closed because they couldn't give a rats ass about American citizens, but they do care about illegal aliens and criminal

This is absolutely Democrats 100%. You are absolutely delusional if you think anything otherwise.

The federal government has been shut down for 37 days. Inflation continues to rise. I paid nearly $8.00 for a gallon of milk today. Sure it was organic, but that's my choice - I work for my money - and it was around $5.00 just a few years ago.

We give our taxpayer money to other countries. Our debt is over $38,000,000,000,000. The dollar is ***** Our elected representatives no longer represent us. They represent corporations and foreign countries through lobbyists.

They use inflation to prop up the stock market. They keep lowering the prime rate. In order to set this thing straight, the rate should probably be in the mid to high 20 percent range. But they know if they address inflation the stock market will collapse and the whole house of cards tumbles.

We were told we would get accountability for Epstein, JFK and MLK. We got nothing.

They've flooded our nation with the third world.

Maybe I'm just in a bad mood today, but this whole thing is looking like a big ****ing joke on the American people.

While you sit and wait on progress on the other issues, the one thing you control and can do something about is not paying $8 for organic milk.

I had to drink a lot of this growing up as that's the only milk my paternal grandmother drank. It tastes awful.

My point wasn't boo hoo that I had to pay so much for organic milk. It was that the price has increased nearly $3. It was the only thing I bought and the price shocked me. Usually I'm in such a hurry buying things that you might find acceptable that I don't figure the price increase.

Regardless, the point stands. Things a much more expensive now than in the past.
