Just got back from my first trip to London.

One of the days we went on a 3 stop guided tour. Tour guide was a bred, born, and raised London Brit. We had a few discussion about the state of London and England in general.

Long story short, he was pretty down about the outlook for his country. In his words "the London I grew up in is gone."

I have to say, I knew there was a lot of immigration into London the past 10-15 years, but I didn't expect what I saw. I never really thought of London as a "international" city like New York, but it may as well have been New York.

I went back to find out how long ago England's jury system was first being formed.

Henry II, who was married to Eleanor of Aquitaine He ruled from 1154-1189. He planted the seed for their jury system. So when I said a lot of English common law would be dismissed were this to come to pass. Nearly 1,000 years.
