Is it Hilton, or do they have properties that are franchised that are coordinating locally?

If this is the case, Hilton Corp needs to step in an begin the smackdown. If not (or if the do nothing in the former), they should expect a YUGE backlash.

That is their right. It is also my right to refuse to use them or their affiliated companies. If Hilton comes out and says this was a independent hotel and they don't condone the behavior, I will continue my business with them.

I travel a lot and am pretty much 100% Hilton. Been diamond for years.

Want to hear their response, am prepared to switch to Marriot and have been looking at doing that anyways. This will make me pull the trigger.

I thought Hilton was primarily corporate owned, or at least back in the day... May not be the case today though as franchising and the income generatable from that has fundamentally changed the game.

It seems to me the Blue haired commie crowd is more of a Days Inn and Motel Six budget than Hilton.
Bonvoy and IHG would probably love to get in on those reservations.

Curious if this is happening in other cities or just leftist infested Minneapolis hellhole. Like others said, could be an independent franchisee. Lots of hotel franchises owned by Indians and other immigrants so could be their attempt at a protest and not corporate Hilton but wouldn't surprise me if it is corporate Hilton doing this either.

That's the second corporate boycott I've lucked out on.

I thought Bud Light sucked, so I never drank it.
And although I don't care for Marriott, thanks to corporate travel policies, I'm lifetime Platinum at Marriott so I can't stay at Hilton any less than I already am.
