Why should ICE officers be able to operate with anonymity? If they're entrusted with the power to strip constitutional freedoms of American citizens, why are they allowed to do so as faceless operatives?

ICE Agents frequently work undercover both domestically and in foreign lands. ICE isn't just about picking up illegals in the U.S.. They work undercover to stop human trafficking, child trafficking, money laundering, and drug trafficking. One of my golf partners, a former Marine, was an ICE Agent for years, and has been undercover in about every South American country there is all the way to Mexico. He had to move his family to Houston for a year while he was undercover in Mexico, and only got to see them twice - both times in Mexico City.
The cartels are not the "Frito Bandito", they are multi-billion dollar operations that have their own cyber units who love to do all they can to doxx any ICE agent they can. To top it off, the bunch of dweebs protesting ICE have already shown their capabilities to doxx ICE and harass the officers and their families. I know CBP Agents who won't even wear their uniforms to and from work for this very reason.
The next time you ask for unmasked ICE, think again.
