I am told that Adams had friends at Motorola Inc. who would tell him about their processes. He would write a lot of jokes about Motorola without naming them. Only insiders knew it was Motorola.

I'm I guessing they worked for the SPS division.

This one is permanently displayed in our office area. The senior manager for whom it was targeted has long since left.

My wife's bonus was tied to the employees filling out how happy they were with the company.

If the company received low marks then all of the employees received a lower bonus.

This company is owned by United Health.

None of us can judge the actual conversion of his heart or not.

We can, however, discuss whether or not it's prudent to maintain you are an agnostic or atheist your entire life, and then on your deathbed carry out Pascal's Wager.

I will say... I don't recommend that approach.

I did t say it was cynical, I said it could have been.

Lucky for Adams, none of us here will be his ultimate Judge.

OK. Gotcha.

Here is his statement again.

He clearly says "I am not a believer" at the beginning. Then he makes a business decision "risk reward calculation" which means if God exists, he does not want to piss Him off, and he will find out soon.

This clearly shows that he did not "become a Christian" which would require one to surrender oneself truthfully to Christ, not make business deals or try to conduct transactions.

The next line about him "accepting" contradicts his earlier statement and is more like a "I am dying anyway, let's see if this really works" deal.

Sorry, but this is the reality of it.

Yet curiously, one of the main analogies Jesus used to communicate what the kingdom of heaven was like to his disciples was through the way we understood the world, and one of those ways used several times for our benefit in scripture was through the metaphor of . . .

Business transactions.
