He will invoke the non-existent legal observer defense. He will also claim 1st amendment freedom of press, which if he does should go all the way to SCOTUS because that is NOT what freedom of the press is.

Yikes. Conservatives fully onboard with "tread on me harder daddy".

Scary times.

Yep. We want these leftists arrested

Yeah, I fully expect to be arrested because I'm "one of them".

And you're OK with it.

Like I said, scary times fellow Texan and American.

What part of they broke at least one law, probably more, do you not understand?

ET Fan apparently shares the same point of view that my former neighbor does, that Trump LITERALLY wants her dead, or wearing a handmaiden's tale red dress as a simple procreator and/or sex toy.

I'm not sure how you break folks out of this true derangement. That they are literally targeted for what they believe, and not for the actions they have taken.

But I will agree with ET Fan that it's dangerous, because there are those on the left that are coming to a conclusion that they better act first "in their own defense".

Apparently, even though they're getting arrested, several judges have been rejected may of the charges...

Quote:

In another example that has not been previously reported, Magistrate Judge Douglas Micko of the U.S. District Court in Minnesota on Tuesday rejected a complaint to arrest a St. Paul school board member, Chauntyll Louisa Allen, on federal charges of seeking to threaten or intimidate people from engaging in worship. The case stems from a Sunday-morning protest outside the St. Paul service at Cities Church, where protesters chanted "ICE out" and "justice for Renee Good," because they believed David Easterwood, acting director of the city's ICE field office, served as a pastor there.
Micko noted in his Tuesday rejection that he found no probable cause for such a claim against Allen; he did, however, grant a separate request from prosecutors allowing them to seek to charge Allen with the separate claim of conspiracy to make threats.

But, it looks like it's the same judge who wants to let Don Lemon off the hook...

Quote:

Micko also rejected a criminal complaint against journalist Don Lemon, who had followed protesters inside the church, which the Washington Post reported on Thursday.

This is the magistrate judge who's wife works for AG Keith Ellison's office. He's not the final word on this, and probably should have recused himself, since his wife's employment and Ellison's comments as AG results in more than an appearance of a conflict.

Summary: 8th Circuit agrees that there's probable cause to arrest the church Invaders but government has not yet exhausted remedies in the lower court. Government can take the cases to a federal judge instead of the magistrate, moving up the chain. As far as I know they can still take it to a grand jury.

Two things here. Technically, 8th Circuit is correct under exhaustion of remedies. They could have just stopped there but they did not. They went on to say they believed probable cause had been presented. Unusual.

But petitioning the supervisory judge, who far outranks a Magistrate OR convene a federal grand jury were two alternatives available before going before the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals.

Didn't want to be part of the derail, and was hoping this was a dead thread by now so my reply wouldn't be part of the problem anymore, but I believe the thread between God's omnipotence and free will is what He does and doesn't allow us to accomplish in our sinful state, as part of His overarching plan for all of creation. One notable example is in Genesis 20:1-7, where God explicitly tells Abimelech, another ruler, that He prevented him from consummating an illegitimate marriage to Sarah. We can choose to TRY to do something or not, but whether or not we succeed is also in God's hands.

So to answer your question, yes, God ordained the inauguration of Trump, just like He did every other single event that ever occurred or will occur. We both remember Trump almost got his head taken off, in which case he wouldn't have been able to do a thing. Nothing can happen outside of God's authority, and I don't think it's controversial to state that as a Christian. That is not the same as suggesting that everything Trump has done or tried to do in office is what God desires, which I would vehemently disagree with (not even sure Trump is Christian, based on his candor and past actions, but God can even use the unrighteous, like when He had the Persian king Cyrus enable Israel to rebuild Jerusalem).

As an aside, you may disagree, but I've found some of your discourse snide to downright sardonic at times. Maybe that wasn't your aim, but I'd encourage you to engage with respect with others engaging you honestly, even if you find their views idiotic or heretical. Otherwise, what witness are we aiming for here?

OP, we can discuss the second bullet, if you wish. To everyone else, I'll leave my original point at this, so don't worry.

Let's keep this thread going until there are actually any real consequences (NOT ARRESTS followed by prompt releases only for publicity purposes). Lunatics who are inclined to invade and terrorize churches are now more emboldened. Not less. Because they see there are no consequences. Lunatics who consider this type 'protest' couldn't care less about getting arrested. In fact they want it because it gives them notoriety and street cred amongst the lunatic fringe. Again, let us know when the authorities facilitate actual consequences.
The danger to America is not Biden/Harris but a citizenry capable of entrusting them with the presidency. It will be easier to undo the follies of their ideas than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to an electorate willing to have such a pair for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Biden, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that put them in place to lead.

Pam Bondi was on Fox News touting her strongly worded letter to governor Walz. Ooooo. A strongly worded letter. I looked it up. It's true. Sent it yesterday. I'm sure everyone is shaking in their boots on that one. I had high hopes for her. I cannot understand the total political blind spot on this. Trump is going to have to make a change

With all due respect, you need to make an example of this group. I'm not pushing for the max penalty possible (depending on how the members got roped into this or not), but this is something that absolutely should never happen again. One of the only reasons I wouldn't want some small measure of leniency for even the ringleaders is because the local and state politicians have all but begged for something like this to happen (I'd even guess that some perpetrators even thought this stunt is ironically protected by the First Amendment, or some such nonsense). But this should be prison time for anyone who knew ahead of time what was about to happen.

You simply cannot maintain an environment where you feel unsafe to congregate as a white conservative, just like what happened to the black community with Roof. America is supposed to be better than this.

What did the peaceful abortion protestors receive when prosecuted under the FACE act? I'd start from there and add additional years for terrorizing young children.

Though Trump pardoned most if not all of these, some faced years in prison.

DOJ is dropping arrest warrants against Don Lemon and several others because they can't find a fed judge in MN to sign the warrants.

Disgusting for what it means for MN. and also shows Bondi is worthless.

It is my understanding that since the lower judge denied and the appeals court did also, it would get withdrawn.

DOJ has other ways to get the arrests if they so choose.

She needs to find another forum. And/or find different charges.

How can Dems arraign Trump in multiple jurisdictions but Pam can't get anything done when you literally have Lemon and others on video committing a crime?

This reflects how deep the stain is in the judiciary.

As with the military, Obama & friends put in the work during his 8 years to completely chase out unsupportive judges and pack in their loyal, marxist, america-hatin minions.

The Rs in the senate need to get in line to confirm all of Trump's noms and continue packing the courts with subjects loyal to the Constitution.

Good Lord man welcome to last week. I left this conversation forever ago.

Do you read the threads or did you just read the first page and have to reply?

You're weird out of time reply and me having to come back and reply weirdly to your weird reply just throws off the whole thread at this point.
