I've always found that people who are paranoid about herbicide have almost no experience, self-education, or formal-education with respect to Agriculture...

When used according to the Label (which is the law) Herbicides are a vital tool that improve yield, prevent the spread of pests/pathogens, and subsequently help keep our food supply secure.

She did use roundup around the house

And the spray she used was likely 1% glyphosphate, I routinely used 38%, mixed and sprayed to a lesser dilution

Sorry for your loss, but as you said, Roundup didn't cause it.

That's why we have actual farmers around here to tell the actual truth. She used whatever you could buy at HD, and it makes perfect sense that it was watered down compared to what a farmer would get.

Toxicity and cancer risk is about dose and frequency of exposure to statically significant doses.

The threat allegations for many products are at exposure levels many orders of magnitude greater than typical exposure or exposure when use rules are followed.

Follow the properly collected and analyzed data. Be cautious of junk science and emotional manipulation.

I use a lot of Round Up. It doesn't seem to have the same punch that it did say 10 years ago. I also use MSMA on my lawn as it is the only thing that seems to kill dallisgrass.

We need to replace RoundUp.

Not because of anything other than its effectiveness has diminished.

We need to be focusing more than ever on new chemistries. We have proven we can make "softer" and more effective insecticides and fungicides. We need another broad spectrum herbicide.

hey guys, Pravda interviewed "a prominent MAHA activist known as The Glyphosate Girl" to provide the masses with what their opinions should be here.

Nevermind that that RFKjr never said in Sept, Oct, Nov 2024 that he was going to get the most commonly used herbicide banned over the next four years. Nevermind that shortages of glyphosate would pose a risk to national security as our agricultural industry starts to depend on foreign sources of glyphosate.

Just know, everyone, that the king ding-a-lingle berries of hypocrisy, dems, want you to be full of concern that RFKJr is a hypocrite because Trump wants domestic production of the most commonly used and depended upon herbicides.

I have zero issue with Roundup but it won't be used much in farming in 5-10 years due to resistance that has built up with a lot of weeds. Just like penicillin in its original form is essentially worthless but both glyphosate and penicillin have been great inventions for humans.

If there is litigation that should be filed against Roundup is it has helped make massive amounts of calories affordable resulting in higher obesity rates and all the complications. /s

Just off the top of my head, they are on the correct side of science on:

Bull**** green agenda
Transgender insanity
Roundup
Not requiring people to get an experimental vaccine

They just don't support the marxist agenda driven fake science of your comrades.

If you are buying a product at Walmart that says "Roundup", you are not buying glyphosate.

Monsanto (Bayer) has decided to use "Roundup" as a generic name for all their lawn care chemicals. Look at the label, if it doesn't say it includes glyphosate, you aren't buying the same chemical as 10 years ago.

Here's Roundup you buy now at Walmart

And here's the label of what is in it

I think some people on here forget that the A in Texas A&M stands for agriculture and we have a more than a few on this board that actually majored in that A. The production and manufacturing ignorance of the majority of consumers in the US has led to so many issues that the food supply faces on a daily basis that has absolutely nothing to do with health, safety, or food quality. Another aspect is that producers will make whatever the consumer demands provided they will pay for it, so consumers wrongly interpret that to mean that their ideas/demands are correct, instead of seeing it through the producer's eyes as simply another income opportunity at a higher margin.

As I understand it, the cancer issues linked to the chemicals in Roundup had to do with slight variances in temperature during the manufacturing process and presented a hazard to those in that working environment. That's how they discovered the problem in the first place. The finished product doesn't have the issue, just what happens during the manufacturing. I also believe that the temperature control issues have long been resolved.

But I am neither a chemistry, farming, or manufacturing expert so take that for what it's worth.

I will tell you with experience that red topped "Round Up" sucks ass. It does turn weeds a sickly yellow, but does not knock em out, some with multiple applications, mixed stronger than label recs.

Bio-Advanced Weed Killer in the blue bottle, with Glyphosate, gives me the quick kill and scorched earth look where the weeds used to be.

If I hear they are stopping it I'll buy a truckload, some for me, some for the underground market. I'll make a fortune.

Well, as I explained, it is not Roundup. It's other chemicals under the Roundup name.

Not aimed at you, but people need to read the label.

As a never been a farmer person like the rest of you reading this (except you, you farmed), the only opinion I have about farming is that we grow too much ****ing corn. No, not your corn. Your corn is fine. It's that ******* down the ways corn that sucks.

So interesting seeing people defend chemicals and stuff when it aligns with their interests or political views, but against it when it doesn't. Instead of focusing of what the evidence shows or doesn't show (or calling for more studies).

Canyon ... I was referring to this study:

https://www.bakeryandsnacks.com/Article/2026/02/08/florida-glyphosate-bread-tests-put-food-safety-rules-to-test/

Seems as though the active ingredient made it all the way into the flour stage.

Having followed your posts for years I know you know more about farming than I know about anything. How does that happen? Is it supposed to "wear off" after x number of days? Or is applied in such small amounts that its not a danger? Maybe you can explain this to a self confessed igmo.
