Kinda funny the mouthy lib athletes who talked smack about the United States mostly fell on their faces and asses while the hockey team, who aren't woke at all, kicked ass and basked in their American pride. Gotta love it!

Hockey players from the US are overwhelmingly conservative, for the same reasons a majority of professional American baseball players and golfers are conservative. They're all high barrier to entry sports.


Daughter played volleyball. Every now and again there would be a tournament in one of those big sports centers that had ice rinks and we got to watch parents hauling in wagonloads of gear for their hockey kids.

Been there, done that! I've got a great story about what happens when teams of 15-16 year old boys are staying in the same hotel as 15-16 year old girls for tournaments. Don't want to derail thread. Another time, maybe.

I know of one of these situations that happened with Dallas Stars Elite. It was a mess......

I'd forgotten about this, not to make light of the violence in Mexico though somehow Canada is a loser there as well. Canadian media has been bragging about damaging US tourism by traveling here less over the past year.
