If Grok is correct, we had the following early voting totals.
2022: ~Dem 625k, Rep 1,026k
2018: ~465,000 for Democrats and ~420,000 for Republicans

There's still a lot of time left in the primaries, but you have to wonder how much republicans should be concerned for the general election later this year.

I think it's because many of the Republican positions are pretty much set, especially at the top spots.

No, it means nothing whatsoever.

If one looks at the map, most of the counties with higher turnout for both parties are the same (a few exceptions here and there).

Since several of the largest, and thus heavily Democrat counties are having high turnout, no surprise Democrats are getting more votes.

I would also guess a lot of Republicans haven't made up their minds yet.

Other then the Senate race, the Democrats probably don't really care about anything else, and likely most of their voters already know which candidate they're voting for.

This March I will be voting in the Dem primary for the very first time. There are probably a lot like me.

Perfect chance for you to run for some office and go fix things. All of TA might support you!

Most folks only base opinions on what makes headlines and news and have no idea the many bills that get passed on the federal, state and local level that make a real difference in people's lives but never make headlines. Do you have an idea how many bills have been voted on and passed in the Texas legislature or your local government besides the 100's in the federal level this year?

Whoever the GOP nominee is, will win by 5-8% points in the general. Y'all can stop wetting the bed…no Democrat is going to win the Senate race, or the gubernatorial one as well.

The Dems are undoubtedly super-inspired by their candidates for the Senate. Republicans aren't voting because they intend to vote Dem this time around too in November. Who wouldn't jump at this rare opportunity to elect either of these highly intelligent, honest candidates who will actually fix our country.

They have an outstanding white gentleman and POC woman who have long lists of ideas for how they will improve all of America. These are truly exciting times with such a positive outlook for our future.

Because the unspoken truth of vast majority of today's Republican party is that they would rather be in the minority and be able to fundraise off of all the things they would do if only they had a majority versus be in the majority and actually get stuff done.

Most people can't tell you anything about state or local government because it isn't talked about on their favorite shows or social media newsfeeds. It's just fun to complain that nobody does nuffin' and they all tha same, so it don't matter if conservatives vote or not!

My wife and I decided today to vote in the Democratic Primary because we have severa local races that will be decided in that primary. Our 2 votes in that one primary can have more of an impact than in a state wide race. Before we made that decision we looked at the Democratic ballot. Easy call for us to decide that we will vote in the local races only and not even participate in the state wide Democratic races.

Admittedly, I'm less enthused this time than I've been in years. The Republicans led another bloated session in the Texas legislature this year and passed a disastrous school choice bill that will be used to control curriculum for home schools and private schools for years. Nationally, the party is feckless and spent way too much time and money on Israel and Ukraine instead of domestic issues.

I want to see Abbott, Patrick, and Cornyn gone and I'm happy to vote for their challengers. Reitz will do great at carrying on Paxton's legacy, but the Ag Commissioner position has an Abbott endorsee and a crook, so I left it blank.

The SREC went weak and Abbott didn't follow through with his promise to close the Primaries so we'll get RINOs again. I want to believe but the Rs just keep letting us down.

Besides a million executive orders very little has been accomplished. Sure we hear all the reasons yet when Dems have the same margins it's not the same story.
