Republicans increased government spending, extended obummer care, pushing for war with Iran, blocking Epstein file release…. Real winning policies right there…
Then vote democrat. No one here is telling you that you can't.
Seriously. The only other viable option is to vote Democrat and get exactly what Yukon is *****ing about PLUS a massive slew of crap that is way, way worse.

This March I will be voting in the Dem primary for the very first time. There are probably a lot like me.

It's crazy how stupid you guys think we are. Why do yall have to lie constantly? Why the weird dishonest "flex"? Just be confident and proud that you've always supported the party of complete degeneracy and socialism. You don't have to pretend anything on here, we can clearly see that you are a devout liberal. So bizarre.

Curious how the libs on this board vote.

Do y'all want the crazy Crockett or the white guy for US Senate?

I suspect nobody on the left will reply, but I am genuinely curious which direction that group thinks is best to run against whoever the republicans vote for in the primary.

I think GOP is in big trouble. Judging by many on here they are clueless as to why

Yep, the GOP in Texas has abandoned everyone under the age of 50. None of the cities in Texas feel Texan anymore. I feel like a foreigner now in public. This is all because of them.

Lol, no. Is it perfect? No, but some of us still remember when Democrats ran Texas. Go to California where it is virtually impossible to afford to own a home and raise a family if you are middle class. Florida is better run but Texas is definitely in the Top 5 of best run states, mainly because our Constitution limits the hell out of what the Government here can do.

Texas is creating massive jobs and opportunity but you have to grab it. Taxes are low and housing is relatively affordable as long as you aren't expecting to buy a 3000 square foot house in the suburbs at 24. You have to make good choices and have discipline to succeed.

To be fair, he said voting in the primary. I know a lot of people that only vote in the general. It's not that hard to imagine that shifty has only voted for the commies in the general.

And you think enabling democrats and turning Texas blue will bring about this 3rd party change?

I'll be honest. I also voted in my very first primary last week. Also voted Dem for the first time.

Sure hope my vote for Jasmine matters!

But I'll never vote Dem in a general.

the story is not that democrats are out voting republicans so far. It's how many more democrats are voting compared to 2022.

as others have said, too soon to tell if this os an anomaly or means something. The final primary totals are what we need to look at.

Yep, the only thing this is saying is that a small group of Democrats were more motivated to vote early more than a small group of Republicans. Not only early but at the beginning. I will vote this week, I never go right as early voting starts and I avoid election day because I don't like waiting in line. In the end your vote counts the same if you show up 2 minutes after early voting starts of 2 minutes before the polls close.

That is of course ignoring the fact this is a Primary and not the General.

Apathy is normal and you can see it on this thread. Republicans who are looking for stuff to complain about because the Texas government hasn't delivered on EVERYTHING but instead has only delivered on some things (many of which they take for granted). It's normal for what is basically a one party state where people start to think that the baseline of our success is the bare minimum. They don't want to compare us to what is happening in Virginia right now or certainly California or NY which is what the Dems fervently want to make us. No, they want to attack the Republicans for not being perfect and some are threatening to "stay home" so the communists can gain power which is a choice I guess.

Fortunately we should be fine and won't have to learn another hard lesson but some folks only learn through pain I guess.

He STILL believes the fine people hoax even though video proof was presented to him and anyone can easily look up the transcript or watch the video of Trump condemning the neo-Nazi/white supremacists that day.

He's either a troll or like Gavin Newsom, is unable to read.

Look at the polling numbers to see if your view is in the majority. Hint: it is not.

The only real reason for Repubs to vote in the primary is the Cornyn/Paxton/Hunt race. I just voted and my ballot was 75% lone candidates.

Pretty sure Republicans will be very motivated come November

If most Republicans in Texas are anything like me, I really don't care much about these primaries. There's something distasteful about all of the candidates. But I'll for sure show up and vote in the general. I'll never not vote against the communists.

Me neither. There aren't any races that I have strong opinions about. And I still haven't received my updated voter registration after moving in December.

But I'll definitely vote in November.

Well our pirate eye congressman is hopefully going down. Thanks for his service but he's not been nice to some military brothers. He worked with AOC on some stuff and Toth is a better candidate. Also I hear about a judge who ask for Muslims to lead prayer in his Justice of the peace gig and so primaries can weed out bad apples sometimes.

Check out what happened in Louisiana a couple weeks ago. House special election in Louisiana. Dem wins by 24 in a district that Trump had won by 13.

I voted for Wesley Hunt, but I think there will be a primary runoff between John Cornyn and Ken Paxton. If that happens, I hope John Cornyn wins the primary because I think Cornyn has a better chance than Ken Paxton of beating James Talarico in the general election. A general election matchup between Paxton and Talarico would likely be a tossup. If Jasmine Crockett wins the Democratic nomination, she has a very slim chance of winning the general election.

A Democrat hasn't won any Texas statewide office since 1994, a Texas gubernatorial election since 1990, a Texas US Senate election since 1988, and Texas electoral votes in a Presidential election since 1976. I hope these trends continue in the gubernatorial and US Senate elections on 11/3 to keep Texas red.
