I took the SAT in the mid 70s. At that time the max score was 1600, 800 on both verbal and math. When did the scale change?

(FTR: Most of my friends were from our AP classes we had together. Geniuses with full rides to MIT and the like so my puny 1390 was embarrassing to me because they scored over 1500. I was actually in tears over it.)

Just imagine if Trump or any Republican had said that.

It would be the top story for a month, and constantly brought up by every Democrat running for office this election cycle.

Probably 20 years ago or so I bought an European Copy of the movie on VHS. Still have it. My kids loved it.

I had a feeling shifty still believed the fine people hoax. He was referring to the historians there that wanted to protect a historical landmark. Also, there is literally video proof of Trump clearly stating he didn't refer to skin heads or white supremacists as fine people and that they should be condemned totally.

All this proves is that black people are going to vote for Ds no matter what. It is completely futile to pander for their vote.

The Rs need to be all in on white people and particularly white men. Quit pandering to other demographics who aren't going to vote for you and focus on doing what you can to invigorate white men to turn out.

The problem is also that white men are the most rational/intelligent voting block and are easily beaten down by failure and not getting what we voted for. That's why 2026 is going to be a bloodbath.

Recently did a West Wing rewatch (do it every few years) and one of the striking differences with the Dems is how they went from a Party that seemed to put all kinds of value on being intellectually elitist and brilliant to one that only wants the biggest idiots. Bill Clinton had his faults but the dude was smart as hell and a Rhodes Scholar. I remember guys like Russ Feingold and Paul Wellstone who I disagreed with fervently but were objectively very smart. Now it's Biden and Jeffries and AOC and Newsom types that simply have zero intellectual horsepower.

Nothing happened when this was said by an old white dude who previously spoke of the horrors of "racial jungles" when he was running for president. It was at this moment that I realized a Democrat of any color could say anything racist and get zero blowback from the loyal base.

Don't know the answer to that, but the black average on a whole is lower than Gavin's supposed score which is lower then the average white person's score. FWIW...

It's also hard to do a state by state comparison as some states have required testing for it, while some don't I believe.

I'd love to know the number of people in California who still believe the fine people hoax compared to the number of Californians who didn't know Gavin was eating out maskless at the 5 star restaurant The French Laundry at the height of Covid lockdowns.
