It's fine of course, they can do as they want. That said they just blew a great opportunity to get a lot of new fans and expand their sport. Most hockey fans aren't woke and they are patriotic, they just lost a ton of goodwill and they lost a lot of people that otherwise may have been interested to support them that now never will. All they had to do was have a few of their members (didn't need to be everyone) go and be polite in the WH and smile. They didn't need to praise Trump or agree with him, just be classy and appreciative. Guess that was too much to ask. It's a choice.
