This is what I find as hilarious. He had already invited them to the WH, before the phone call, and they turned it down...they did it politely, but it was bs reasoning. They had the opportunity to celebrate with the rest of the country, just like the men did, and it probably would have been great with both the men and women there, but they decided to skip that chance to promote their sport.

The culture has gotten to them. Few have the stomach to fight it.

I didn't expect anything at all because, as already noted by others, I had no idea there was women's hockey in the Olympics. Didn't care then, don't care now, but glad they won the gold. It helps offset all the medals Norway won on events I also have never heard of, didn't care about, and never will.

Here is another girl from the team that if you listen to her I seriously doubt she agreed with not going. It's pretty clear to me that a few members of the team bullied the others into not going, most likely the others just went along because to not do so would be to hurt the feelings of their teammates and cause a stir. Makes me sad honestly. Looks like many of the ladies just were excited to win the gold and wanted to celebrate that but now this political statement will be what people remember.

Personally I'd jump at the chance to visit the White House regardless of who was POTUS. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity but sadly TDS has infected the brains of far too many in this country.

Of course, once Trump is gone you can bet the next Republican POTUS will get the same treatment. I can already see a women's team refusing JD Vance, Rubio or DeSantis because the left's playbook is to vilify whoever has an R by their name.

Yes. 100x out of 100. With Biden, Kamala, Obama, Clinton. I don't like them or agree with anything about them but definitely would have gone and encouraged the team to do so as well.

Instead of asking this question, you should be asking why the media and half the country think the men's hockey team visiting Trump and having a good time is a thing to be frowned upon.

Here's the deal. The White House is bigger than the person that occupies it. The historical nature of the building and what it has represented for the country overrides any thoughts of who occupies the building at any time.
