Except the Book of Enoch is not canon to the Bible, and even most Jews don't accept it.
Jews don't accept Jesus as the Savior he claimed to be. Why listen to them?
The Book of Enoch is a historic text just like any other book of the bible. I can see why they don't include it in canon but that doesn't negate the fact that it confirms the whole fallen angel storyline in genesis.Quote:
Fragments of the Book of Enoch (1 Enoch) were discovered among the Dead Sea Scrolls (DSS) in Qumran Cave 4, providing 11 Aramaic manuscripts that confirm the ancient origin of its Enochic tradition. These fragments cover roughly one-fifth of the complete Ethiopic text, revealing the work was authoritative to the Qumran community but notably missing the "Book of Parables" (1 Enoch 3771)
How do you define angels? Just some made up side characters in the Bible?
To me they are extra dimensional beings, just like God. i.e - alien to this physical world.
"Angels" just means "messengers". That is the translation...often times in the bible it isn't talking about supernatural "angels"...but sometimes it is. Have to judge the context. Just an FYI for those who were taught that "angel" always translates to "supernatural beings with wings who do miraculous things".
