To give us a littler patriotic boost this morning, here is an older but gooder song from Daryl Worley to remind us not to forget that we must stand strong and be strong to protect America, from enemies both foreign AND domestic.

I know many were impacted directly, indirectly and many also served in the military actions after 09/11. We made many missteps and errors in executing those actions and the effects of that are not so much that we have forgotten, but maybe we "misremember" why we entered into those actions.

If prior administrations had taken the path Trump has taken in regards to threats to America, than 25 years ago we may have been carpet bombing mountains in Afghanistan and kicking in doors of flight schools and apartments here in the US, and reworking airport security.

But enjoy the song and remember why we have to send folks to fight. I am admitted if a bit ashamedly selfish in that I never served (and never considered it), but I do appreciate the ones who do and the ones who support those who do.

Well, I am disappointed it won't be done in gold leaf to honor Donny but this is pretty cool. And a North Texas company doing the work.

No word yet on whether this was a no bid contract but I am sure the Hate America Party will find some reason this is a travesty of epic proportions…

I will say that for all that stores are doing to promote our 250th (HEB has tons of items and sample tables for them), I don't really get the feel of excitement or celebration for the occasion. I'm hoping all of that will change next weekend, but for a conservative place like the LBK, you'd think there'd be more/any people out there showing or talking about it.

Maybe if we put it on Tik Tok to show your pride it'll help? Obvious sarcasm is obvious, I know.

I blame Obama. Over 8 years he set the Country back 100 years in position in world, patriotism, cohesivity of the population, respect and value of other people / races / religions / colors / creeds.

He worked hard and still does to foment hatred and divide. Not quite the anti-Christ described in Revelations, but maybe the applicable similar for destroying America.
