Dallas, Harris, Bexar, Travis, and El Paso counties are already baked in blue counties around 65-35 Dem margins regardless of lunacy of candidate, so 8 pts is realistic. It will likely never be a blowout in this state unless we find out before election that the Dem candidate has done something truly horrific...like cannibalism or having sex with animals. That might even not dissuade their voters though.

I have lived in Nacogdoches County for 34 years. Roughly half of the population is in the city and it is a college town, but not different in demographics or politics since U.T. took over the school. Liberals tend to retire in the city and conservatives usually retire in the county. The loons I see protesting in the city are almost all college students. The biggest change on the SFA campus is MORE NEW BUILDINGS we do not need thanks to U.T. The only thing we have to be concerned about is the completion of an interstate highway which would absolutely make the city a giant ****hole that sucks in surrounding communities like the Tyler experience.
