I always took my two girls into stalls in the men's restroom. I literally never gave that a second thought until I saw people on social media acting like that was weird. It never once occurred to me to take them into the women's bathroom.
Now they're both old enough to just go in the women's bathroom by themselves while I wait outside.
Same. I've never taken my daughter into a women's restroom. I escorted her to the men's room stall, and posted up at the sink so there are no misunderstandings.
If there was a situation where the stalls were all occupied, and my wife was there, we would switch and my wife would take her to the women's.
I suppose, if my wife weren't there, and my daughter wasn't old enough to do it herself, I would contemplate what to do about entering a women's bathroom, but it never happened. There's only a small window of time where they are potty trained (2ish) to when they learn to use the restroom themselves (pre-k - kindergarten -- 4-5).
Now, I take my 7 year old, she goes into the women's and I just patiently wait outside and tell her to yell for me if she needs help, but she has never had to because if there are other women in there they have been happy to assist if she does need something.
The guy who filmed it kinda seems like an attention seeking person to me when he says stuff like "

Bro, your girls are now old enough to use the restroom by themselves for at least a year or two now, so which is it? You've never taken them into the men's room, or you dont trust them to be able to wash their hands by themselves? Either way, there isn't really a good reason for you to be in there with them. Doesn't mean you should be harassed by some old guy, but come on, now.
i'm sorry i dont laugh at the right times.
