Oh and I forgot. Some Europeans, particularly Italians, have been convinced that A/C causes them to become sick, literally will kill them. They are afraid of it.

i see you have taken a cab in Italy as well.

Actually, no. My Dad was in Europe for work for two months and then in the Middle East for two months. Other than flight attendants coming through the cabin spraying air freshener every few minutes on his ME flights, he discovered the smell was the same. He did like Switzerland, though. Thought Italy was okay. The French were typically PITAs. Saudis and Egyptians were professional but when he met Qaddafi face to face, he was scared s***less. Of course, Qaddafi had kidnapped him from Cairo, so he had reason to be.

I will be in Greece in a couple of weeks. The last time i was there about 12 years ago the hotels had AC but they would turn off when you left the room.

Haha sucks to be EU.

Laugh at them if you want, but this fight will come to America next time the democrats take over. The nazis on the left would love nothing more than to shut off air conditioning in the entire southern United States and let the heat waves kill as many people down here as possible.

It won't happen overnight, but the next dem administration will continue to pile on the regulations like those implemented under Obama and Biden.

They can try and take my AC from my cold, comfortable hands.

When I was in Ireland last summer I packed a ton of warm clothes, but it was 85+ all week and none of the places we stayed had ac.

Makes you think.

I truly believe Euro govs find it to be a feature when heatwaves kill off the olds so they don't have to pay for them anymore. Can't have AC prolonging expensive lives

Also, if the plebs had AC, then there will be power outages, and the Elites won't have AC

Wow, some would have you believe that using AC raises the temperature of the city 20F.

Here is one professor of Resilient and Sustainable Cities expounding on thermodynamics.

go to 7:00ish

and a more reasonable response:

This is only accurate if the exterior space was closed and was less than 5 time the area of the interior space.

"Channel 4 is a British public broadcast service" means it is BBC, government controlled.

So consider the source.
