Recently found out about a number of available positions at my company. I have a few other threads with job listings but decided to consolidate into one thread for ease of browsing/updating…

I work for a software company with offices in Houston, Dallas, Midland & Denver that caters to Oil and Gas E&P companies. We are looking to increase our workforce due to the current and future demand from new clients. We have several positions available (see listing below). The preference at the moment seems to be placing these individuals in Houston or Denver but if you are a good candidate any location can be open. I have worked for this company for a little over 3 years now. Since then I have recruited 4 Ags via Texags that were hired and I would like to add more.

Enertia Software
Please don’t rely on job postings from our website. All positions are not currently listed there.

Support Team – Business Analyst
We currently have 7-8 openings in this group. At this time we are only accepting resumes from individuals with O&G experience in one or more of the following areas…

- Revenue
- Accounting
- Financial Reporting
- Material Transfers
- CapEx
- Land / Mapping
- Production / Operations

The support team wears many hats. There are aspects of customer support, software implementation, training, QA, project development & implementation, consulting, etc...

At a minimum you must have...

- 5+ years experience with O&G Upstream
- Basic understanding of databases
- General ability to learn/explain software functionality
- Ability and willingness to travel (25ish %)

Huge plus if you have...
- Experience with our software
- Experience with a competitor's software
- Consulting, software support/training experience

SQL DBA / Data Conversion Specialist
We currently have 2 openings in this role. O&G experience is not necessary but is a plus. Primary role of this individual is to assist with new client implementations by building SQL routines that will take data from the new client's legacy system and transfer it to the appropriate tables in our SQL db.
Individual must...

- Be VERY strong with MS SQL, specifically SQL Server 2008
- Be able to work quickly & efficiently
- Be able to work on very large data sets (1700+ tables some with 1M+ records)
- Be able to communicate very well but also able to work independently
- Have a strong work ethic and willingness\desire to seek out projects when your existing projects are done or slow

.Net Developer
We currently have 2 openings on our development team. O&G experience is not necessary but is a plus.

The .Net Developer will...
- assist in the migration from VB6 to .Net
- develop new applications, enhancements, etc... as needed
- review\debug\correct issues as need

At a minimum, the application developer needs to have significant experience working with .Net & MS SQL Server. Experience with VB6 is a huge plus. We are looking for experienced developers that can hit the ground running with minimal training.

Project Manager
We currently have 1 opening for a PM. O&G experience is not necessary but is HUGE a plus and anyone with O&G experience will receive significant preference. For Enertia, the PM is somewhat of a PM / Client Relation hybrid. The job consists of 2 primary focuses… New implementations and existing client projects. The PM is charged with keeping the project on track, making sure all deliverables are met and facilitating any communications between the groups.

Some of my details on everything they do are a bit fuzzy. Will do my best to get more info if someone has questions.

All of the roles require some common traits to be successful. You must be able to multitask, communicate well, work well in a team oriented environment, be a self starter and show initiative.

If you have any questions please feel free to post them here, PM or email (username at gmail). If you think you are a qualified candidate send your resume to my email and I will forward them along.

What level of .NET experience are you looking for?
I have over 10 years of experience, and have migrated a shi$load of applications from VB6.0 and classic ASP to .NET/SQLServer 2008 and 2012.

That would likely get the job done. Shoot me an email asap. I heard the owner had a couple .Net candidates lined up for interviews but haven't seen any confirmation. Would be a good idea to get your resume in soon to make sure you are in consideration.

Additional note... The need for 1-2 Production oriented people on our support team is growing significantly. Tons of work coming down the pipeline (no pun intended) for that group and we definitely need atleast 1 more person to help handle that load.

I think I'm more then fully qualified for the .Net developer role. Would you prefer I submit my resume online or directly to an alternate email?

I had a friend of a friend contact me about a similar position at the end of last year. If one of your biggest clients is SLB it might be the same company. I'll look for the reply to this message or feel free to PM me.

Where would this position be located?

Edit: I saw this cross posted on the Metroplex board, but don't want to waste anyone's time, hence the question.

Qualifications for the production person are the same as the support team stuff above. The difference is that we want someone with Upstream Production experience. Preferrebly someone that has experience with allocations, regulatory, etc...

chjoak -

You guys ever accept anyone on the software side without O&G experience?

I wouldn't mind sliding into that industry, but have been in defense since I got out of school (going on 8 years ago).

We have hired people with limited or no O&G. It all just depends on the role you want and how well you match up. Send me an email and we can discuss.
