Also, Changing the primary logo is typically a two year process with the league, so I assume we won't see anything new on field until 2024 or 2025.

The only way to make the city excited about this pitiful franchise is to bring back the Oilers.
Usually winning works, but it would be cheaper and much faster to bring back the Oilers to replace the Texans.

What I've read for Stingley is that he was very good, just maybe not utilized to his strengths and not tested much because the other CBs were so bad. Obviously not on Gardner's level but not a bust at this point either.

Ultimately, Sauce may end up being better, but that doesn't mean Stingley is a bust. It's been one season, and Stingley was misused this season.
Sauce would have done about as well as Stingley in this defense. We drafted a man corner and put him into a defense that is primarily cover 2 and the guys opposite him are bad, so he's not going to get Jack squat in stats.
Sauce is good, but comparisons of the two at this point in their careers is pointless, due to the points above and the fact that Sauce played behind a great front 7.

Why draft a player because he's good at ABC then use him doing XYZ.

Sauce is a much better zone corner than Stingley and probably would have excelled in Lovies system.
I know it won't happen, but I can't help but think that hiring Demeco is perfect for what this beaten down fanbase needs. Well liked former player who also happens to be maybe the best coordinator in the game right now. But sounds like we screwed that up as well.
Also, don't look now, but CJ Stroud has not declared yet. Some rumors that he may be headed back to school.
100% this. We, as a fan base, need to grow into a new era. Who better to do it with than one of the best players we've ever had.

Come on the highest likelihood is he's a colt. Anyway you look at it next year he'd be going to a bad team as well. Him returning would have 0% to do with where he might go in the draft
