Of course it's not, the officials are the ones who kneel.

The disappointing thing for this team is we have no cap room to make significant moves and no one we can really cut to make space. Paying Tunsil and Howard near $50M is just absurd. Thankfully we can eject Tunsil after next season.

You just saw that pass blocking performance and your assessment is we should get rid of the only good pass blocker on the entire line and 3rd best one in the NFL.

Howard and Mason need to go. Mason isn't the ass kicker he used to be and Howard is more worried about getting his feeling hurt on X than figuring out a stunt.

Howard shouldn't be playing LG. He's a RT. He needs to be in space where he can use his size and arms to push some one down or wide.

So you say the OL performance sucked but then claim one of ours is the 3rd best in the NFL at his position. Story does not compute. Even if Tunsil was as good as you say he is (he isn't) then one should still question if allocating $25M a year to one OL makes more sense than spending that money on two of them. Afterall, you've already agreed the OL performance sucked…..

100 percent agree but i think Blake Fisher is going to be better and doesn't have an over priced contract.

Yes because 1/5 doing a good job always leads to great o line performance. You can't be serious. And oh yes let's go get 2 shaq masons for the price of Tunsil. That would have to be better. Give me a break.

We need to draft line man and wr in the draft next year. Do we only have our own picks this year ?

Have our own 1-4, Buffalo's 5th, and our 7th
Pick is #25 for ours

Caserio has his work cut out for him

the Texans are a tough team to evaluate

in part because of the incredible reliance on field goals and Fairbairn

including the 2 playoff games...the Texans attempted an astounding 49 field goals (in 19 games)

the Texans were 10-2 in games in which Fairbairn made all his FG attempts

1-5 in games where he missed a FG attempt

(did not have an attempt vs. Baltimore)

At the bare minimum, what, if any, coaching changes need to be made?

I assume Slowik will be sticking around another year. I don't see DeMeco wanting him gone after 2 playoff seasons.

Change of ST coach after that implosion against KC?

I think they have to evaluate everything about the OL. We've sunk a huge amount of resources into it and for next to no return. Both the scouting staff overseeing OL prospects and the OL coaches should all be on notice if not gone.

Tough call as our special teams were pretty good this year. Don't think you can blame Ross for the kicker and that weather affected all aspects of special teams.

I wouldn't mind seeing them draft nothing but OLs, at least in the first few rounds.
Some people never seem to grasp that if you have an outstanding OL, all your skill players are suddenly that much better. Buffalo is a great case in point. They lost Diggs and didn't even blink. Cook is a good RB, but he's nothing special away from that O-Line.

Having a great O Line and a great D Line is the making of a team that is always a threat in any matchup.

We don't seem to have much luck drafting OL. Missing on an interior OL with a top 15 pick in Green is just brutal. You should only be taking someone at that position that early specifically because they are can't miss.

Ross is a good ST coach

I wouldn't can him based on one game.

We've done that. 2 1sts for tonsil, 1st on Howard and Green, 2nd on Scruggs. We've probably sunk more draft capital into our OL than any other team in the league. We just missed on most of them. Now, some predate Caserio, but it ain't for lack of trying. That's why I think we need to seriously evaluate whoever is making these decisions.
MaxPower

Green is on Caserio and he's the worst one. Paying Howard is on him too.

We don't pick until 25th so best player available I guess. At this point I'd be happy to have some extra bodies to put out there when the injuries come so we don't have Skippy from the sophomore team trying to keep George Karlaftis and Chris Jones from pulverizing CJ half a second after the ball is snapped.

This bothers me. Boyd should've been released after the game. Wonder if Ross thought it was disrespectful.

Good points and I said it the day we drafted Howard - nobody should draft an OL from an FCS school in the first 5 rounds at least. It's just stupid. I don't care if they are 9 feet tall and can bench 4,000 pounds, the game they have dominated is light years from the game they're going to.

Kenyon being hurt/terrible/hurt/terrible is the real back breaker .

I don't think it was disrespectful.

I have a bigger problem with him ripping his helmet off and getting a 15 yard penalty for celebrating after a 70 yard return and a fumble that wasn't even recovered by the Texans.

That's what he should be cut for.

the 1st round pick on Green really hurts

also using/trading a 2nd round pick for Diggs

I will give them somewhat of a pass on Diggs. He was impactful before getting hurt and you can't predict injuries. Green just sucked.

Extreme hindsight on Diggs. Great trade if he's healthy. Good chance we are playing this weekend if he's healthy.

I think this is a BPA draft all the way down. Typically there is some oline talent in the second - third round. I think they make a lot of roster moves centered around freeing up cash and picks for Oline free agents. Won't be surprised to see a lot of post June 1 moves.

I'm not as worried. A lot of what they struggled with will be addressed just like last offseason. It's just a question of whether the moves work or not. Time will tell.

Also I think we owe Diggs $16 mil next year no matter if we let him walk or sign him, so we might as well sign him.

Looking at other numbers, there's not many guys who have very positive savings from cutting or trading them. I don't expect much action in free agency at all. Diggs will be the biggest signing. Unfortunately we probably can't walk away from Tytus Howard or Shaq Mason until after next year at the earliest.

Context matters here. Boyd caused a fumble and genuinely thought we recovered. He was hyped up and threw his helmet and was showing off to Ross. Unfortunately, he didn't realize it until after the fact.

DeMeco addressed it today and reiterated him taking off his helmet hurt the team. I don't see much here other than a young, inexperienced, and undisciplined team showed a blemish

I am encouraged by all that's come out. This year was a struggle, but the cornerstones of the team are there and they all seem to have a bad taste in their mouth. A year ago we were happy to make the playoffs and lucked into the division championship. This year, no one seems satisfied and they all seem to understand you have to work every game to put yourself in the best position to get to the AFC championship.

I like where we are, and if CJ is truthful and will work on his rush, I think he will be on par with Allen and Mahomes next year. In many ways, I think he was comfortable or resting on 23-24 laurels, maybe he got a wake up call in playoffs that'll carry to next year.

May be a pipe dream, but Kubiak is only 63. Wonder if DeMeco hires him on as a consultant or more. Could be extremely valuable to a young OC like Slowik at the very least.
