It just depends on what position goes on a run before we pick, but I'm hoping he's there. I'm think we grab our best o-line on the board in the first and then go DT in the 2nd as there are just so many damn good DTs in this draft

  • RB Dare Ogunbowale is re-signing with the Texans on a one-year, $2 million deal, per the NFL Network Insiders.
  • WR Nico Collins agreed to a contract restructure, saving Houston $9.8 million against the salary cap, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported.



Also non-Texans news in there but still impacts us a lot

  • G Joe Thuney is expected to be traded from Kansas City to Chicago in exchange for a 2026 fourth-round pick, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Wednesday, per sources.

I know they need cap space, but damn, trading an All Pro guard who you used as a stop gap at LT because you had none really is going to be a hit to an already declining o-line in KC. That left side of the line is going to suck for Mahomes next year

Depends on the price, but he would make a great #2 with Nico. Hopefully might get him a bit lower than market since he's had injuries slowing him down the last 2 seasons.

Can't stay on the field recently - 5 games in 2022 and 9 games in 2023. Played 14 last year but only had 5 sacks - his career low. Plus the Chargers just cleared up like $30 million by cutting him.
He'll be 30 in July.

I'm not well-versed in the salary stuff with trades, does the contract with the Jags carry over, and if so do you think the Texans will either restructure or work a new deal so that he has less of a cap hit this coming year?

Yes it carries over - 1 year remaining with about $16M on it. Look for the Texans to sign an extension and spread cost over 2-3 years.

Sadly they made it to the AFC title game with Blake Bortles and we've yet to make it that far in the playoffs.

This is the first move by their new GM James Gladstone who is 34 years old and looks like a serial killer in his head shot.

They also have a 39 year old HC and a 29 year old OC.



I think this is the guy who was helping out The Joker in The Dark Knight

Christian Kirk for a 7th round pick acquired from LAR in the Cam Akers deal. He will fit well with Nico and should be a favorite target of CJ. Now go get another Veteran or draft a speedster if you can't get that stud PSU tight end. Hopkins would still fit with Kirk and Collins too.

I hoping the new OC will help Mixon become a top 5 NFL RB and also find plays that DP can be productive.
